Rodriguez: I feel great about it. It's something that's been underlying for a long time, and I've often been asked about it, and I've sort of been waiting to see if anything is ever going to come of it.

Emily: In real life this happens, you have someone who you're very attracted to and you've got lots of chemistry (Jake), and then there's someone who you've known for so long and you love each other so much (Eric).

CSI Files: We've heard rumors of a burgeoning romance between Calleigh and Delko. Can you shed any light on that?
Rodriguez: I think this is something that has been brewing for a long time. I don't know how far the show is going to take it. Sometimes we get close with something and then it [fizzles]. I don't know how far we're going to go with Calleigh and Delko. We definitely show the building it up through the next episodes. I think it's cool. It's really realistic when it comes to working this job, working a lot of hours and spending the time we do with each other. It's inevitable that romance happens.
[Calleigh and Delko] will start to acknowledge [their feelings] and maybe even fall for each other. I'm excited about it. After doing a show for five years, any sort of new avenue is exciting. I hope they take it there, to an extreme place and really gives us a chance to explore it, but who knows where they're going to take it.

Adam: I think we've sort of been in denial, maybe, about our affections for each other. Maybe there'll be a wedding. A CSI wedding.

Emily: Here's the thing. For years I have said 'can Calleigh please have a boyfriend' and they gave her a boyfriend... and he shot himself, which is not good. And then they gave her another boyfriend and he was engaged, which is not good. And I said last year 'may I please have a boyfriend, may I please have a boyfriend' and they gave me a new boyfriend. So it looks like the introduction at the end of season 5 is that next year Calleigh will have two boyfriends.

We need to start thinking of new thread names.

And hey, we're catching up to the GCR thread! We were two and a half behind one thread ago but now we're only about two behind. Keep it up, guys.

Back in the good ole days (season 2) the Eric/Calleigh thread used to be the longest thread in the entire CSI Files message board, no joke. It had more posts than the GSR thread. More than 10,000. Imagine a thread with more than 10,000 posts. It was crazy fun. But then they created the shipper forum and we lost it. Boo. Good times, though.

When we go canon this thread is going to explode. Look how popular it is now, and 50% of our ship is dating other people!

Having a lot of people around will be fun, but I'll be so lost, and it worries me that some people might feel alienated. The good thing about having a little ship is that everyone knows each other, etc. Not so much with big ships.

Then again, knowing how we are, when we go canon it'll be like 5 people posting and 80,000 lurking.

I'm torn, because I want this thread to overtake the other shipper threads, but I also hope that it doesn't get too overcrowded in here. I don't want to feel lost.

That song fits EC really well (then again, a lot do), and if I wrote songfics or thought songfics were worth anything, that'd be a good song to write it to.

Songfics are the devil. Does anybody actually read the lyrics of songfics? I always skip them, always. They really ruin the flow of the story, I wish people would realize that.

That's what music videos are for, too. Of course, my problem with videos is that people usually choose the worst music.

Miami doesn't have a big presence online, so I doubt we'll ever be SUPER crowded. Maybe you and I just post too much? Cause there seems to be more people in the GSR thread but they're only 4 threads ahead of us. Maybe we should get lives...

I avoid songfics like the plague. The few I've read, I never paid any attention to the lyrics.

I can't watch music videos either. I'd much rather just watch clips over and over again.

Heh, who needs a life when they've got EC?!

I avoid them like the plague. The lyrics just ruin the flow of the story. Thats my opinion anyway, I know loads of people who love them.

Yeah, songfics generally turn me away too. What I don't like is when people choose a song that obviously doesn't match EC, and then they try to force EC to fit with it in the fic. I'm not talking about the ones that if you read a couple of times, you'll start to see it - I'm talking about those that are just way, WAY off.

But I love that song you posted, Skylar.

Also, yay! New thread! I love how the last thread barely lasted twenty days, by the way. :lol: We're awesome.

I am not a big fan of song fics...idk why I just am...doesn't appeal to me but that song that was posted was pretty good.

We will be taking over the Shipper Forum...the other posters just don't know it yet We will rule the world and the more posters we have the better; increases the level of conversation here and it is always nice to have new people.
