Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

The farthest I think writers will take us is a wedding, even then I am skeptical. I highly doubt we will see Cal get pregnant. They did the whole pregnancy scare thing with Natalia and they aren't going to do that again; it would be boring and worn out.

Eric cam from a big family so I could definately picture him wanting like 3 or 4 kids. Cal is soooo hard to read when it comes to kids but I could see probably wanting at least 2. And there is no doubt that their kids would be the cutest little devils around.

Just thought I'd share this here: We got a horse yesterday from a friend and she's an older horse. My hubby didn't think to ask for her name, so today he called and asked what her name was. I grinned from ear to ear when I found out cause it means she's a keeper. Her name is Calleigh! LOL I told my hubby now we need a male horse named Delko and I'd have the collection!

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

I don't think it would be a pregnancy scare if Eric and Calleigh were trying to have a baby.

They should have kid. They are people and if they have a wedding most chances are that they want to start a family. Who knows what the show will be like in 2 seasons. If it even exists in 2 seasons.

You know I have these cousins that remind me of Eric and Calleigh. They are really good looking and in shape but they have like 10 freaking kids!!! I met them at a reunion and I was just laughing how their kids filled up a whole table.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

The show will definately exist in two seasons, they couldn't stop it, what would happen to Eric and Calleigh then?! Besides it'd kill me if they stopped it, then they'd be responsible for murder or something!

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

I think the show will at least go on for 10 seasons. So there will be a lot to go on from now to then. Hopefully in the end Eric and Calleigh will be all happy and they'll show them playing with their kids so we know that they are going to do fine. :D

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

They have set up LV to be 10 seasons so I would imagine, if the ratings continue to be hot, that Miami will get 10 seasons as well. I don't really don't want to think about it...b/c then I have to think about the inevitable end of this show :(

Hopefully though in that time E/C will be fulfilled in totality with a wedding and maybe a kid but I am pretty sure we will only see if wedding; if we even get that much.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

10 seasons? Christ, I hope not. If they're already running on fumes on season 5, imagine the absurdity they'll come up with for season 10. Besides, I don't think Adam would stay on the show that long, and if he left that would be the end of E/C. I think I'd rather get fewer seasons.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

Quality not quanitity right? I can agree with that. 10 seasons does seem like a bit much but hey we are already going into season 6.

I remember when they did all the Star Trek's they set it up that all the spin off's would run 7 seasons and that was it. If they wanted to do more they would be done in the theater. Which was what they did and I think it was a nice formula...you don't want to stay around so long that you wear out your welcome.

Midnight; Miami's absurdity is what makes it sooo great and you know you would miss it if it were gone ;)

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

I really don't want this show to ever end! :( I would cry so much! 5 seasons have flown by, this show should go on forever, imagine how much eric and calleigh you would get to see then!

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

Quality on this show isn't exactly readily available, but yeah. Typically actors don't make 10 year commitments to shows so eventually either Adam or Emily would leave and the show would suck without one or the other, so I'd rather they pulled the plug early if it's needed. Not to mention if one of the left most likely their character would get killed or moved to another city and that would kill our ship.

But, since Caruso has nothing else to do and I don't see anyone out there willing to bring him into their show, maybe they would make it to 10. If that's the case, then I hope Adam and Emily either leave together or make it to the very end, god have mercy on their souls.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

If any of them leave the show and one is left then I think that the show is pretty much dead since we are now used to all the characters.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

See now if you look at it from the actors pov; they are on a extremely successful show and while they may have to pass up opportunities b/c of the show, they have to realize that to leave would probably be a bad idea.

Why leave a show that has made you immensly popular? Look what happened to Caruso when he decided to leave NYPD for bigger and better things. Look at Ben Bratt after he left L&O and Chris Noth. While they may not be the best actors and there are examples of actors that is has worked for, ie George Clooney...it may not work for them.

I don't want Adam and Emily to leave the show but I would want to move on to better things but not too soon that it hurts them. And leaving a show for a bigger paycheck can do that to you sometimes. Stick with what makes you successful until either the show ends or the fans no longer want it and it has run its course.

That all being said, I would want Miami to stay on for as long as possible but anything longer than 9 or 10 seasons would be stretching the show far beyond its means. I also thinlk, with the growing E/C popularity and possibility that if one of the two were to leave , there is great possibility the show would end or be close to ending. These are two characters who can not IMO be replaced very easily. On the other hand, I the show would offer them a lot to stay b/c they realize this.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

wasn't there a show that was on for more that 10 seasons? i read it once i dont know where but i remember it was like some law show or something (yea i know totally off topic)

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

Law and Order has been on for more than 10 years, and so has ER. The X-Files nearly made it with 9 seasons. Lots have lasted a while, but not with all the original cast members. Usually the actors get bored and leave.

I could see Adam leaving before everyone, and Togo, I guess. Caruso's not gonna leave, he'd be eaten by sharks in Hollywood. Emily... I'm not sure. She doesn't seem interested in pursuing other things, but Adam's always doing something on the side, so I could see why he'd want to leave. Eva, she'd probably stay till the very end, too.

If the show does last 10 years, then they're gonna drag the E/C storyline for as looooooong as they can. Oh, God, no more waiting.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #23 -- This Ship Is Sailing To Booty Isl

you might be refering to Law and Order. I think.

There are plenty of shows out there that have lost main characters and have rode straight into Suckville. I think the show should last at least 10 seasons. Then again, if Adam and Emily left the show I would be terribly sad but sometimes you have to move on. There are a few shows out there that have been or for nearly 20 years and their main characters of course have left or been replaced or are just aging. Miami might be like that, though the original would make more since to last the longest.

The fans would obviously change since differences and new faces would come each season which makes me think twice about some of those new ships.
