Episode #520 'Rush' ***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

Guys, I know that some are excited about next week, but I am so sorry to rain on your parade as well as mine, just don't kill the messanger
Calleigh just kisses Eric on the cheek, go to modern day gallery for pics. I wish they kiss kiss!!!

Calleigh was so funny in this episode! I loved her magazine fetish... her 'guilty pleasure' *giggle snort* Cute interaction between Ryan and Cal there!

And is it just me or was Horatio spitting out more corny/awesome one-liners than usual... he was on fire tonight! Every time he opened his mouth it was to say a one-liner... Maybe he does usually have that many, I don't know, I usually fastforward his scenes...

Eric was really awesome in this episode too! I loved how he talked to the rehab chick and encouraged her... I love Eric, he's so pretty! And I was glad to see him actually reflecting on the fact that he got shot in the head!

Overal though, I didn't really like the episode too much, other than character interaction. I thought the case was pretty boring and average... it didn't excite me at all!

And I've also noticed that Cal and Horatio haven't been working together recently. I like Cal and H working together... *mumble grumble*

I loved the scenes with Eric and the girl who was afraid to leave rehab. Most of the episode was just kinda there and didn't command my attention, but those scenes made me stop and watch. Very beautifully done!

I hate to be a nitpicker but in this case I will be one.
You remember the season 3 episode CRIME WAVE with the big tsunami headed for Miami??? Well, I'm listening to the commentary on that episode to refresh my memory. The director said she read the script and found it hard to believe that a tsunami could start on one side of the Atlantic and hit a place on the other side of the Atlantic. She said a month later that tsunami that hit India and Thailand and those places struck and so the research they did for the episode was proven correct. Well, this episode was probably written and maybe even shot before Britney shaved her head. But I do agree that they tricked us on the Britney wannabe. They showed her last week in the scenes from this episode shaving her head and showed her shaving her head in the commercials for this episode. Then she doesn't show up till the very end of the episode. I totally agree that sucks...lemons.
I still haven't watched what I napped through last night because one of my teeth decided to crack up. Today I went to the dentist. Soon as I post this I'm gonna rewind the tape and watch what I missed. Then I'll give all of you MY review of this episode.

drkate, you snape icon is just too funny.

Lol, thank you! I didn't make it though, I wish I knew who did so I could send them gifts and praise! :D

I still can't get over Calleigh's magazine fetish.... it's just too funny!

I really liked this episode, more than I even thought I would. Loved the case, loved the rehab, loved the outfits, loved the one-liners (had some funny moments as well) and everything about it was great. I was engaged, wondered who it was, and just...loved it.

Favorite moment: When Delko was talking to that cute rehab chick, whatsherface, and mentioned getting shot. That was great acting on Adam's part, beautifully written and spoken, and was a great scene. Whole ep was great, but this was my favorite by far. Loved Delko's little side-story there.

Ryan looked very sexy BTW. Yummy blue shirt. :D

I did, however, think it was pointless to have that girl shave her head. Stupid, didn't need to be there, didn't make a difference. Other than that, looks like s5 is getting back on track! *squees* Can't wait for next week!

Favorite moment: When Delko was talking to that cute rehab chick, whatsherface...

 Her anem is Jolene! But, don't worry, the whole time I was watching the epi, I thought Eric was saying "Julie".

I totally agree with both of your comments. Ryan did look very sexy and, yes, Adam did very well in that scene! Also my favorite moment! :D

I have said it a billion times and I will say it a billion times more, that chick at the end was completly pointless unless they plan on bringing her in a later epi, which I highly doubt.

Jolene! I should have remembered, the other day my geometry teacher needed a name for an example and saud 'Jolene' and it's been stuck in my head ever since. Thanks Ally.

ya know i just watched the episode again and i was just thinking that the chick at the end was smart to cut off her hair because if they knew she was doing drugs they could prove it through her hair and how Horatio said that everyone secrets and taht tied back to the bald chick!
yea i know kinda confusing! :p  ( like smileys!!)

You are totally right, that_girl1! But I still think it is sorta lame that they put it in the promos and made us wait just to see the chick in the last five minutes.

But, again, that is just me.. :D

The theories about why the 'Britney look-alike' was in the show are very interesting, but still...I don't see the reasoning behind inserting the scenes of some young starlet who wasn't even a character in the show, who was not at all involved in the storyline itself checking into the rehab center and then shaving her head? I'd forgotten the whole thing was even supposed to happen at all until she turned up at then end.

The episode would have just as much impact without those scenes, and provided that one of the last few episode of the season doesn't feature a recently-released-from-rehab-bald starlet, I still maintain that the only reason those scenes were shown was to capitalize on the Britney Spears situation. Which again, I find very sad and disturbing.

Just my opinion. ;)

A good opinion too, Thumpy! I agree, I remembered we were supposed to see her, but I just kept thinking to myself, "Where is she? What character is she supposed to be?"

Her showing up at the end had no point to the show's storyline. Especially since they were showing the progress of all the characters that were in the show, like Jolene and Eric leaving the clinic. Her showing up at the end was just oddly placed.

By the way, Horatio already said "That's a wrap" as one of his one-liners. "Spring Break" is on A&E tonight, and when Horatio and Frank went to confront the guy making the videos, Horatio said "Hey Carson...that's a wrap." I thought about this board when he said that...lol.

At least TPTB didn't recycle for "Rush."

I think eventually most, if not all of his one liners will be used by the time show is over  I mean you can only come up a new one liner for every episode situation for so long before you need to reuse some of them
