They said the killer put some tape over the air vents, but like I said, they don't make a tanning bed that is air tight. If I remember correctly, when they showed the chain that was holding the lid down, when she pushed up on the lid it would raise a few inches and then stop because of the chain, so air could get in from that. And I suppose the timer could have been tampered with, but as they said on the show, it would have taken days to actually die from tanning, she died from suffocation. Yeah, I know, they take dramatic license, but in this case they took it a bit too far for my taste.
