I've got a question about Emily: is she actually from the south of the US? Because in most of the fics they talk about her 'southern drawl', and she's supposed to be southern in CSI:Miami.

Does she really have a 'southern drawl? Does southern people talk like she does? or she's only acting her southern drawl in CSI: Miami? Thanks a lot for the answers!!!

BTW, I had some good pics but I don't remember where I saved them :( I'm looking for them :p

Well her profile on imdb.com says she's from Raleigh, N.C., so it's very probable that she really does have a southern drawl. Not to mention in various interviews and other movies, she has always kept the southern accent so I'm assuming it's really there. ;)

But sometimes actors who have southern accents do tend to emphasize them a little more onscreen if the role calls for it. I'm not sure if that's the case with Emily. :p
 
She's actually southern. She's from Raleigh, NC. I'm pretty sure she doesn't play up to it. Not that I would mind either way, I think the accent's awesome!
 
Thanks again!!! I asked 'cause I'm not from the States so I don't know the accents :p but I like how she talks, for me it's a little difficult to understand her when I hear her in English. I don't understand Ryan, either. But I understand Horatio, and Alexx perfectly :p

You don't? I'm from Holland and I understand both Calleigh and Ryan. But you speak spanish, not? Maybe that's more difficult.

Well, I feel like the worse Em fan here. But I have a question; There's a contact-function on her official site, but if I send something, will Emily read it? Or is the contact-function just for complaints about the site?
 
Yes I speak Spanish, and it's not that I don't understand them at all, I know how to speak English, but sometimes it's difficult 'cause they drawl some words, specially Ryan, although I love his voice when... sorry wrong thread :blushes:

BTW, can you tell me the name of an episode where Cal speaks Spanish??? Is there any in s3??? I know she has spoken spanish but I don't remember the season. Thanks!!!

CSI_Willows do you speak Spanish too? where are you from?
 
Well CalleighWolfe I speak a little Spanish, I'm from The Netherlands.. Not a real señorita :p Well one episode where she speaks Spanish is from CSI episode 22 from season 2: Cross-Jurisdictions ;) There you can hear her speaking ;) But in CSI Miami I think it's season 1 or 2 ;)
 
She says a little Spanish in 'Cross Jurisdictions'. Other than that, the only other time in can remember her speaking spanish off the top of my head is eppy 4.05 'Three-Way' to the hotel maid.

Her accents rawks, it's so...endearing? I can't think of any other word for it than cute. I love it when her or Delko speak Spanish, it's so hot, I can just imagine them..wait that's for another thread ;).
 
CalleighWolfe, shame on you! Go to other thread! (I'll follow you :devil:) She speaks Spanish in a lot of eps, which I can't recall right now...*thinks hard* I'll get back on this later, maybe.
 
Calleigh speaks Spanish in 'The Oath', Season Two, Episode Twenty Two. Again in 'Crime Wave', Season Three, Episode Seven.
