Did anyone catch the premire of Drive last night on Fox? It will continue tonight. It is on right before 24.

Here's the website http://www.fox.com/drive/

The next time you’re cut off by crazed drivers on your way to work, give them a little slack. They could be racing for their lives.

DRIVE is an action-fueled drama following a diverse group of Americans competing for their lives (or the lives of their loved ones) in an illegal, underground cross-country road race. Some of them have been coerced into joining “The Race”; others have sought out The Race themselves, hearing rumors of the $32-million prize. Each has a reason to compete. And each must win.

ALEX TULLY (Nathan Fillion, “Firefly,” “Slither”) is thrust into The Race in an effort to find his missing wife. New mother WENDY PATRAKAS (Melanie Lynskey) is on the run from her husband and competing for the safety of her newborn baby – or possibly something much more extraordinary. JOHN TRIMBLE (Dylan Baker) is a buttoned-down scientist who embraces The Race as the last chance to show his rebellious 15-year-old daughter VIOLET (Emma Stone) that he can be spontaneous. WINSTON SALAZAR (Kevin Alejandro) views The Race as an opportunity to leave his criminal past behind and bond with SEAN (J.D. Pardo), the half-brother he has only just met. Hurricane Katrina survivors IVY CHITTY (Taryn Manning, “Hustle & Flow”), LEIGH BARNTHOUSE (Rochelle Aytes) and SUSAN CHAMBLEE (Michael Hyatt) are determined to start their lives over and help rebuild their fallen city with The Race’s winnings. ELLIE HOWE (Mircea Monroe) sees The Race as an opportunity to keep her boyfriend, military specialist ROB LAIRD (Riley Smith), from being sent back to Iraq. And CORINNA WILES (Kristin Lehman), who becomes an uneasy partner with Alex, is a gorgeous and mysterious stowaway who may well hold the key to the secrets of “The Race” and its mysterious benefactors.

Although MR. BRIGHT (Charles Martin Smith), The Race liaison, has informed them that there are other competitors, the group does not know exactly whom they’re racing against, or even where the finish line is. With each mile clocked, the drivers get closer – not only to the end of the road and a critical, life-changing victory, but to understanding the mystery behind The Race itself.

I kinda like it and so far it hasn't got that complicated.

If the face of Wendy Patrakas (Melanie Lynskey) seems familiar, she just came off Two And A Half Men after four years playing Rose, Charlie's neighbor/stalker.

As for ratings for Sunday night's debut, from TV Guide online:

Fox's Drive averaged 6.36 mil in its first hour and 6.05 mil over its entire two-hour debut, leaving viewers behind every half hour.

An Extreme Makeover: Home Edition repeat topped the 8 o'clock hour with 10.22 million total viewers. Amazing Race followed with 9.06 mil (down 190,000).

At 9, Desperate Housewives (16.12 mil, up 480K from last week's low) bested Cold Case (12.27 mil, up 800K).

i watched it, i liked it. it was a little slow running at first but i like how they are slowing reavealing a little bit at a time about each character. and it has nathan fillion, and i just can't not watch something with him in it ha.

Call for a tow truck for this wreck.

From TV Guide online ratings for Monday night:

Fox's Drive (5.64 mil) marked its regular time slot debut by dropping off another 410,000 passengers.

Short 'Drive': Show yanked after two episodes
12:54 p.m. EDT, April 26, 2007

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- It's been a short "Drive" for Fox's midseason drama, which has been pulled off the schedule after two weeks on the air.

For the time being, the serialized drama chronicling an underground cross-country race will be replaced by "House" repeats in the Monday 8 p.m. slot.

"Drive" received a strong promotional push on Fox's juggernaut "American Idol" and was launched with a two-night premiere, a strategy regularly used for the network's hit serialized drama "24."

But "Drive" never clicked with viewers, and its two low-rated airings on Monday seemed to hurt its leadout, "24," which posted its lowest adults 18-49 rating for an original episode in more than three years.

It is not clear when and on what platform the remaining nine episodes of "Drive" will air. Streaming the episodes on Fox.com or offering them as downloads through iTunes are among the possibilities under consideration.

Wow, that was fast

Thank God for Internet, eh? A few years ago, that would have been out of the question ... your fave new show suddenly stopped you could kiss it goodbye forever. Not anymore. That's really cool

Well according to the Fox website the final two episodes will air back to back on July 4 at 8eastern/7central in the US.

Well thats a sure fire way to get viewers on a holiday when everyone is probably outside.

From TV Guide online:

Fox's last-minute swap of Adam Sandler's Anger Management (in place of the final two episodes of Drive) delivered 3.13 million total viewers — or 1.5 mil fewer than tuned in for Drive's previous (April 23) broadcast. The Nathan Fillion-driven series instead will bow out Friday the 13th.

Can't even let a show go out without changing it up. I was mad that it was not on but will watch this Friday then, but will it actually be on?

Call the junkyard. Drive is a goner.

From TV Guide online:

Fox's Drive Screeches to Another, Final Halt

Fox's Drive, which was to resurface with its final two episodes on July 4, then had that send-off pushed back to this Friday, instead has been pulled over and off the airwaves for what appears to be a final time. As stated in a July 13/July 20 scheduling update issued by the network, "There are no plans to air Drive's remaining two episodes on Fox."

Instead, Fox this Friday will air a Bones repeat followed by the penultimate episode of Standoff (which actually gets to wrap up its run on the 20th).
