-Or what wibble just finally realised what's best for her and opened her eyes and saw that redheaded god and his threads. And there's no returning back.
I think she has seen the light!

Great H picture docfrog! :)

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

I'm bit worried of that co-mod of mine...

What has caused this huge HC/DC fandom to wibble?
-Is it just The Mighty Asskickingess?
-The Holy Sunglasses?
-All those HC/DC avatars/banners floating around?
-HC/DC propaganda that her co-mod has been sending without her knowing and without any notice wibble has sucked it into her brains?
-Or just Ducky's fault because she is the Pure Evilness
-Or what wibble just finally realised what's best for her and opened her eyes and saw that redheaded god and his threads. And there's no returning back.

LOL!

Man, I was laughing so hard when I first read that!

Ducky - I think it is all of those factors :) and let's face it, when you put them all together, who wouldn't be gushing about DC/HC? :D This is one of the threads I lurked in for some time before I finally bought the dvd and started watching :) And what I read here definitely got me interested ;) I knew there were some big fans around, and all the avvys and banners floating around probably gave me a push to give the series a whirl :D

Actually, here is where I confess that I did start watching the pilot episode when it first aired here in the UK...erm, quite a while ago now. But for some reason, I couldn't get into it (shame on me for giving up after only one epi!). Maybe it was because I was younger back then, or I just wasn't in the mood or something.
Now, I am so glad I gave it a second try :D

And I'm glad you all like my banner - I thought the cap I used to make it was different somehow, so I stuck with it and this is what I came up with :D

So, DC is in NYPD?? Great! I'm pretty sure my brother has the box sets of that show somewhere around (or I hope he has - sure I saw them once a long time ago, and they are so expensive to buy). I'll have to see if I can get hold of them :)

Is DC better as H in Miami or is he better as his character in NYPD? I've never seen that show before :)

ETA: docfrog - thanks for posting that pic! That's the first time I've seen DC in leather jacket. Mmmm

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Wow, loving the banner wibby, be still my heart!

I think our Davy is wonderful in NYPD (what with the hot suit and ties and the NY accent) but I don't think they gave his character as much depth as Horatio Caine has. Just my opinion.

His in the first season and in the first few episodes of the second season. He plays John Kelly a wonderful character. I highly recommend it, if your brother does have it around that would be great for you! :D

And there's no returning back.

Have you ever really tried? You seem to talk from experience

I always try to run away from everything :p

Yup, that MagLite that Saint H uses is quite attractive.... my precioussssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Wibbsy, I'm glad you liked my list of reasons :p

What comes to Blue.... DC was great in it. I don't know can you really compare JK and HC... but great characters, has similarities (both very caring) but also very different and I have to say I liked JK's... well, Blue in general bit more *action* He was very adroable.

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Oh yeah, if you can find the first season of 'Blue' get it on cause it is wonderful! I absolutely loved it, was laughing loads and you get quite a more DC grins and laughs which are just :p

And you get to see a whole lot more of DC too...and everyone round here knows what I am talking about, I won't elaborate further I'll leave you to discover that pleasure ;)

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Personally, I like both characters equally. They have very definite similarities - both are caring, as Ducky said, and loyal, determined, sensitive, compassionate, tough and both have a very strong sense of justice.

H is more sophisticated (this was pointed out by DC himself interestingly) and here's a quote from David about the two characters (I've posted this before, but as wibble is a 'newbie' DC fan, I'll repeat it) ;)

"In NYPD Blue, I played a street detective who is able to go off on his own personal instinct and give way to his own emotions. Horatio can't do that."

Horatio is definitely more emotionally repressed, as you will discover the more you watch. I won't say anything more, as I don't want to spoil your journey of discovery. :)

Also, with John Kelly, we get to see his fairly active love life! Horatio has had love interests, but as we all know, the CSI franchise tends to portray these subtly. ie. no naked shower scenes! *dreams* :D

Not to mention HOT, hehehe.

I like them both equally as well. :D

How could I forget HOT? Oh yes, both definitely very, very hot!

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Just wanted to enquire something. In 'The 40year Old Virgin', David was mentioned. The guys were saying "Be like David Caruso in 'Jade'." What happened in 'Jade' and what has it got to do with the 40 yr old virgin guy?

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

I never heard of that, but I could imagine, it refers to him kicking Trina off his lap

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

^it was that woman in the movie (Jade I mean) :p the one who kept humpin' 'em all :p (played by awesome Linda Fiorentino)

(I've been bit silly lately. Creating threads in wrong forum, making dry and strange comments'bout MagLites... yeah... )
