Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

I looked the same since I was 17 or 18

Same here... I'm still recognized by people I went to elementary school with... and that's been AGES ago

How much time elapsed between S1 and S2 of NYPD Blue? Does anybody know? Cause the change we were talking about seemed to happen just between two seasons...

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Yeah I bumped into someone I went to secondary school with a month ago, she recognised me, but I wouldn't recognise her again! So I guess I haven't changed much!

I don't know what happens in season 2 so have no idea the time gap, but peoples weight does fluctuate for all sorts of reasons, so it is quite possible that he could have lost a lot of weight between seasons!

But DC has never been big anyway, he's always looked quite lean and fit ;) yes definately fit :D especially around the face!

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

'bout Blue s2. I've been planning to buy it because I've watched NYPD all these years (we have one more season to go here) and I really liked Jimmy Smits (show started to suck even more after he left) so I'd probably watch more than those 4 eppys :p

I just checked one Finnish site that orders lots of DVDs from play.com and they have Blue season1 and season 2. s1 goes now with 43€ and s2 79€.

I was more than happy to notice that CSIM s1 (whole season) will be released as Nordic release (means it has subtitles in Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic) in end of March :D and price was only around 45€ when import dvds have been around 60-70€ :D

YAY!

To DC losing weight... I remember how HUGE difference it was first to see him Blue and then few years later in Michael Hayes and all the weight he had lost
But he had still kept his cuteness :D

[Gee, I have lots to type tonite and even on topic!]

Was it this thread or the other one where Lucy referred to some DC interview/article where he said that people fall in love with the character, not him.
Anyways... doh, I agree. I've always thought that way. Now that I'm in love with Jack Bauer (it's only now that they show 24  ...ok.. KS IS cute...erm anyway)... that thought has come back to me.
But does that fact stop me having DC as #1 in my fave actors list? Nope.
So perhaps instead of "I love DC" I should start to say "I love every character DC plays"

Makes sense, doesn't it?

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Yeah it is true, I fall in love with characters on shows all the time normally before I consider the actor himself, it's the personality traits and just the way they are, this is kinda why I enjoyed Blue so much I think cause JK is a lot like HC character wise.

But characterisation and expression can make a face beautiful too, now DC has a whole range of expessions that soften his features and make him incredibly handsome :D

And those eyes..need I say more ;)

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

It makes perfect sense Ducky. I always have to warm to the character first. :)

He really does. I always tend to like actors who are very expressive facially. They can convey so much without muttering a single word.

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

once i try to explain that i first notis the characters ----> the actor. and make connection between them. for me real actor is all of his character :)i can`t forget when i saw DC in "Jade"....just fall in love...after time ago start to whatch CSI Miami...and when see him again in "proof a live"..wow...hi stay deep in my heart till now. and i success follow all hi moves.

but mostly in DC i like the little tic hi make in his cheek under his left eye :p

That's so cute! Along with his head tilt and twinkly eyes, I'm lost for sure. :)

Exactly!!! And yes it's the characters we fall in love with. That's why I fell in love with Horatio and not really DC the actor. But then I like DC looks-wise, coz he looks the same as Horatio...*sees everyone staring weird at her* ah, well, it's complicated...

Luce is that Hugh Laurie I'm seeing on your av.?

Lol, I get what you mean. But it's not as if I don't like DC personality wise... I just haven't really seen him personality wise to know, lol. I almost confused myself with that.

It sure is! I was so chuffed that he won the Golden Globe. I love 'House'. In some ways, I think he's rather like Horatio character wise (though the compassionate side needs some tweaking!)...and he has amazing blue eyes too! :)

Yup, you're right. I don't know the real DC much. That's why I confused him with Horatio.

I only watched House once and Hugh Laurie left a lasting impression on me. I agree he reminds me of Horatio but needs tweaking on his compassion level  so HC/DC's still the best of the best!

I think I won't be online for the next few days or even up to a week. It's Chinese New Year here and I'm gonna be with my friends and family. It's my first CNY back home now since years abroad so I'm kinda looking forward to it...except that I hate to visit relatives I hardly know. I guess I'll just sit there dreaming of my own CSI:M episode with H

Don't let the tumbleweeds come!
