Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

I really wish they would release it. Everything seems to get a dvd release these days, so why not MH? :(

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

They are wonderful pictures Lucy. I have never heard of 'Michael Hayes' what is it about? Is it showing over here?

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Glad you liked them Tink. :) The summary of MH on IMDB.com is pretty good, so I'll post that:
Michael Hayes is a tough but sensitive ex-cop who goes to work in the U.S. Attorney's office in New York City. When his boss is seriously injured in a bombing, Hayes becomes Acting U.S. Attorney, and butts heads with a number of enemies, both inside and outside the law. He also cares for his nephew Daniel and his brother's wife Caitlin, while waiting for his brother Danny to settle into society following a jail stint.
There are interesting similarities between Michael and Horatio as you can see. You would absolutely love it (as would any DC fan ;)). Very well written, great acting, some wonderful courtroom scenes, a nice amount of romance, and just really good stories, usually centred around corruption in the system.

It was shown in the UK on the satellite channel 'FX' and they had it airing for several months (they kept repeating it). There were 22 episodes in all, which I taped (of course!). There's always a chance that they may show it again, so if you have satellite/cable, it's worth keeping an eye out for it. :)

It's one thing some US DC fans envy us Brits over, as many of them didn't see it when it first aired over there. So, even though we are so behind with CSI:M, that was one consolation, if you managed to see it.

Lol, it's funny that so many of his roles include being a cop or an ex cop. He's so brilliant at it, lol.

I wonder if they ever showed it in New Zealand. We always have reruns of old shows on, so maybe it'll be on tv here again. *prays*

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

 Oh yes I see that very distinct similarity! Funny how David should mention in an interview once of how fond he was of playing 'Micheal' in MH. He could have voiced his ideas for CSI:Miami and might have referred to MH's storyline.

There's something about lawyers and court sessions that really appeals to me. I might have watched too much 'Ally McBeal'.

Me too. Before discovering DC I was a Robert Downey Jr fan after seeing him in Ally McBeal, lol.

Ditto here. That man is geeky but in a cute kindda way. But of course, I was still quite sad that Billy died! :(

Back on topic, we have some real bad programmers. They never show any DC movies. Bummer.

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

They hardly ever show them here, either. It's my weekly ritual every Thursday when the new TV guide comes out to buy it and look through all the movie listings to see if there are any DC movies on. (I also go through all the crosswords and check to see if there are any clues about CSI Miami, lol)

Hmm..New Zealand. I'm actually thinking of writing a fic with that location.[H/C]

Even worst, the DVDs for CSS Miami cost a bundle! Perhaps $49[Sing dollars] and above. It's so costly that it's funny. I have yet to meet anyone on this island who have the same obsession as I do. *sighs*

You really should write a H/C fic set here. I played around with ideas for writing set here while I was on holiday, but I'm useless with fanfics and never finish them, lol.

Boxed sets are really expensive here, but DVD movies aren't that bad. It's just a matter of finding them. And you aren't alone being the only one on your island with the same obsession. I think I'm the only one in New Zealand's three islands with this obsession, lol.

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

Oh yeah..I forgotten the islands! *takes note*

I'm not so much of a good writer myself but I'm willing to improve. I love writing stories and I guess I'll use that as a force to keep me going with the fic. NZ is beautiful btw. :)

Re: ~David Caruso Thread #4 'A One-way Ticket To HC/DC Pleas

We have MH on AXN right now... and what did the cable-company do yesterday WHILE MH? They were seeking for new channels *bangsheadagainstawall*... now I have the weather-channel digital and missed the episode (and I'll bite my a.. if the midnight-repeat didn't work out either... haven't checked that yet...)

I'd love to have it on DVD - I wanna see it with his original voice :( - and much more I'd like to see "Mission of the shark" in the original version - they really really did a bad choice for his German voice... absolutely horrible (and btw - he's half the movie wet :D )

If you don't mind me asking, what country are you in. I had read MH was airing on AXN, but it didn't specify where.

It was such a great show. I keep hoping and hoping it will be released on dvd.
