'CSI' To Finally Reveal What Makes Grissom Tick

CSI Files

Captain
TV Guide's Mike Ausiello this week unveiled one of the plots that will unfold during the 6th season of CSI.

According to the columnist, it will be front man Gil Grissom who will be placed under the microscope during the new season of the show. "This season we're finally going to find out why Grissom is the way he is (read: strong and silent)."

TV Guide's September 18th issue will preview a brand new season of television. According to the magazine, CSI will continue to focus on Nick Stokes's kidnapping, with Grissom finding out Walter Gordon (who buried Stokes alive) may have had an accomplice. The kidnapping will also affect the lives of all the other CSIs as well, so much that Warrick Brown will realize life is too short and will get married, a development Catherine Willows won't be too happy about.

The lab will also lose one of its CSIs this season, said the magazine. But fans need not worry about the lives of their favorite characters: the magazine guaranteed no actors will leave the show. This makes Louise Lombard's Sophia Curtis the most likely candidate, as it was earlier revealed the character will grow tired of office politics and leave the lab to return to the LVPD.

Down in Miami, Horatio Caine will continue to look for peace of mind, though it's not likely he'll find it easily. The character was last seen uncovering the secrets of his brother Raymond's "murder," and this season he will have to make peace with a crime he committed in the past. Calleigh Duquesne will also struggle with her decision to quit ballistics, especially when her replacement's abilities prove to be sub par at best.

The show will continue to tell the stories only the city of Miami can tell, with one case involving a shark attack and another the disappearance of a teenager girl, a plot the writers borrowed from the real-life missing persons case of Natalee Holloway (who disappeared in the Caribbean earlier this year). Miami will also see the addition of a new face this season. Eva La Rue will join the show as DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista, whose stern personality is set to clash with everyone at the lab.

And while Miami is looking at a dark season, New York will brighten up, literally. The set of the second spin-off has been revamped completely to allow more light to infiltrate into the CSI lab, which has been moved to a high rise building. The show will also lose a CSI during the second episode of the season. Vanessa Ferlito (Aiden Burn) is set to leave New York while Anna Belknap will join the cast as Lindsay Monroe, a CSI from Montana.

Fans can also expect to see Mac travel down to Florida, as the writers have already developed a crossover episode between New York and Miami. According to series creator Anthony Zuiker, Horatio and Mac will investigate a case that'll begin in Miami and end in the Big Apple. Mac and Horatio have worked together before, of course; the characters met during the episode "MIA/NYC NonStop." The second Miami/New York crossover will air during November sweeps.

Yes, we finally get back ground info on Grissom :D

They lose soeone in their team, where have I heard that before

I'm pretty excited to see the new season of CSI even more! Besides, I've always wanted to know why Grissom acts the way he does sometimes! Anyways, I hope Ecklie is the one to go, but more thank likely it will be Sophia.

ohh really. ok thats good. i like her Character, she's i dunno different from the rest. i like the chemistry she has with William/Grissiom

soo grave danger wasn't preempted in Camada, and we have CBS and it was on that channel 2 so i'm wondering if Csi:NY is still premireing on Wednesday or next week? (did grave danger even make it on last nite in Aamerica?)

Already a crossover in november! That's quick! They should be filming it already or pretty soon I think?

yeah i heard about that... i hope this time we see more of the miami cast 2 cause last time it seemed like it was just horatio, but hwen the LV/Miami crossover happend the episode was a good mix of both

I Really hope Sofia doesn't leave!!! I really like her. If I had ro choose one of the characters to leave it would be either Ecklie or Hodges. But I'm really looking forward to seeing more about Grissom. I Love That Guy! can't wait for the new season!!!

Nope, GD won't premire til Wednesday, the night before the season 6 premire. Of course, that just HAS to coincide with the seson premire of Lost. *sulking* :(

I hope it's Sophia who leaves, I really do. If Hodges left, where would he go? He has no other skills, no social skills, he only knows his lab. And everybody loves him... In their own way. And if Ecklie left, well, who would antagonize everyone? I mean, the thing states that we'll find out what makes Grissom tick. How would they do that if Ecklie left? And anyway, I just don't like Sophia. So there. :D

Thank god for that, I thought it would end up being one of the great mystries of the world -

8th Wonder of the world - `why was Grissom the way he was`

I can`t wait to find out more about Grissoms background in that respect. Sophia is not my favourite character so I would`nt mind if it was her that left or even Ecklie.

How can they do that to YoBling though?!?!!!! thats so not fair! TPTB gave us a verbal agreement that we'll get it early in the new season...now what?! Warrick'll have to split from wifey, and THEN hook up with Cath... grrrrrrrrrr!!!

yay for the other stuff though! :D

All I can say is the CSI original group is back in buisness yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mind Greg, but Sophia I do. If she leaves; the CSI team will be able to breath finally, it was a little to crampt in their for all of them.

I think they're going to reveal that Grissom is actually run by a rather revolutionary micro-chip...
