Season 1 is my personal favorite because the storylines were gripping and not "overly sensational" and "far-fetched". The Miami feel was in each episode with the Latin community and other facets of the city being mentioned. Horatio was human and not a caricature. He behaved professionally, spoke normally, and looked better. The other team members worked together and not as separate units. The actors and acting reflected "real people". Now everyone works in designer clothes, drives luxury cars, lives in mansions and all of the stories are about the rich and famous.
