    Well done guys ;)

    Let's do positives and negatives.

    100x100: I like it because that's what my resources fit. It can be hard to get the effect you want.

    120x120/140x140: these are more challenging, I find. I like it. You have to take detail into consideration and the final icons are generally clearer. Only thing is, you have to find really clear caps which is fine for the later seasons, but not the earlier ones.

    First off: Thanks for the votes on my third place Frank icon everyone. :D It's very much appreciated!

    As for icons..

    I prefer 100x100 by a mile. I think the overall quality of a smaller icon is best and there seem to be a lot more ressources for the 100x100 variety. (Of course, I have seen a lot for bigger icons) I like not having so much space to work with.

    There are definitely advantages to having bigger icons but I just don't prefer it and I'm a lot less likely to enter a challenge if the set size was 120x120 or 140x140. *shrugs*

    About the icons size, I'd rather prefer 100x100.

    Congrats to the winners and the new thread.

    I voted for 120x120.I was between that and the 100x100.I wouldn't mind either of them at least from where I stand-I just vote-.;)

    I voted for 100x100, but I wouldn't mind an occasional challenge in another size. Just for a bit of variety?

    Now Open - CSI: Miami Icon Challenge #29 - pink

    This is based off the poll we did awhile ago. You all seemed interested in doing a color theme. This will be our fav characters in the color pink! It can be pants, a tie, whatever you want as long as they are wearing something pink. Please use only CSI caps for this - no promo or candid pics.
    The rules - which were "borrowed" from a variety of people!

    HOW TO SEND A PM

    Subject: CSI: Miami IC #29 - Pink. I am also running the 1x1 challenge this week so this is important!
    Body: Images, URLs. If you cannot do images - the URLS are fine.
    If you cannot send a PM - please see my profile - I can accept them via email or IM - I have both yahoo and MSN.

    Rules
    1. You may enter up to 3 icons.
    2. Please size all icons to 100x100 pixels. I don't really want to have to re-size any icons.
    3. Please PM your entry to me, CSI_Kat, by Wednesday April 9th 1 pm EST. 4. No vulgar words or phrases allowed.
    5. Please don't post your icons anywhere else. You don't want to win because your friends voted for you, you want to win because you deserved it.
    6. No animations allowed.
    7.Since we were successful with the 3 categories last time we will be doing it again....so you also need to let me know which category you will be in - beginner, intermediate or advanced. For anyone entering intermediate - please also indicate an alternative categry in case we don't have enough to do 3 categories If you are not sure where you belong - there are some helpful guidelines here
    8. Most importantly - have fun!

    Each category will have a special techniques assigned to it. These are not required!

    Beginners - your technique will be textures

    Hey Kat you might want to change the color in the paragraph before the caps, it still says yellow! :p :guffaw:

    I hope to enter this one, as long as my laptop comes back on the date I was told. :wtf:

    Can someone explain this to me pwease? I'm rather thick in the head today (and will be for next 3 or 4 odd years) :p I was going to happily enter since Kat happily (albeit sneakily) advertised it in the other thread. (oh you sneaky you) but then I saw that, and immediate a veil of confusion fell over me. :eek:

    It's not a must to do it right? (or wrong)...do you get cookies if you do?

    Liffy - these techniques are not required. I put them there in case people want to concentrate and learn a new technique. We do include it in the voting and banners are provided to the winners.
    I did NOT advertise it in another thread.....(I wouldn't do something like that and get in trouble) it was just an invitation to you. :)
