'CSI: Miami' Crowned Most Popular Show On The Planet

According to a recent ratings study, CSI: Miami has become the most popular show on earth.

Performed by Informa Telecoms and Media, the study pulled data from ratings from twenty different countries worldwide to determine more people on the planet are tuning to CSI: Miami than any other show.

After Miami, the most watched show is Lost, followed by Desperate Housewives and The Simpsons. CSI came in number six on the list, followed by another Bruckheimer show Without A Trace.

CSI: Miami's ratings saw a major boost last season through Europe and Asia, where in many countries it's become the most watched foreign show. In the United States, the show has consistently shown up in the ten most watched shows, and it's become Monday night's undefeatable force.

That's only because the rest of the world hasn't seen season four yet. Until then good job Miami. Hopefully season five gets better and maybe good again.
 
Congrats to CSI:Miami then. :D I've always liked it better; along with CSI:NY.

Yeah, I guess that CSI:Miami is pretty popular in Asia, well, at least in Malaysia it seems to be popular.
 
Well they started showing season 4 in France a while ago and it did have incredible ratings, actually , here, even if it's not good, aslong as it is one of the three CSI shows, it will work.

What were the Spanish shows in that list?? Um I've never heard of them and they are most watched on the Planet?
 
In Belgium, Lost is the nr 1 show. CSI Miami is aired more then the other two shows, but we've been getting reruns lately. DH isn't on often enough to appeal to anyone outside a certain focus group, and The Simpsons is on practically every day, but still has CSI Miami beat in the ratings.
 
I wonder what appeals more to people about CSI: Miami than LV or NY. To be honest I didn't like season 4 of Miami that much, it was a bit too overdone. But, congrats Miami :D I'm glad CSI is still doing well in the charts, at least it means we'll get more seasons :p
 
not bad for CSI:Miami...although season 4 just started here in asia, for cable subscribers...but on local tv...pretty competitive on saturday nights at ch. 9
 
It appeals to us here in Asia because, IMHO, it has far more deeper psychological meanings in an episode than any one of Vegas or NY's. I still love all of them, but I think Miami is truer to its own form.
 
I think it's great. :) Even if season four was a pile of manure, the show is still great. :D
