"TAINTED ROSE"
They call me The Wild Rose
But my name was Elisa Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Elisa Day....

VARIOUS CITY.
INT. LAS VEGAS CRIME LAB.
EXT.LAS VEGAS - Ellis St.& E- Carey Ave.
Police cars surround a house. Neighbours are behind the police lines, horrified.
Grissom and Warrick, and Greg Sanders arrive at the scene.
Capt. Jim Brass meets them as they enter the house.
Brass: Hey.So this is an interesting case.
Grissom: Care to fill me in.......
Brass: An entire family shot in their own home. And the gun that
appears to be used to kill the family is in the hans of the
husband who is also shot. Basically we are looking at a
murder-suicide.
[brief pause]
I heavent seen a case like this come across my desk in ten years.
They walk into the house,in the hallway lies the body of the first victim.
A man, lying against the wall, with a woulnd to the right shoulder, holding a rifle.
Grissom: I'll take the first body. Greg,find the rest of the family, and be careful - we don't want compromise the evidence.
Warrick: This is a slaughter house. I wish I have taken a sick day.
Grissom: All in a days of work.

The forensic part is equaly important as the story behind it.

Greg Sanders investigates the rest of the house. When he enters the kitchen
he find the second victim - a woman in her late 30's. She lays on the floor
face down face down in a pool of blood.
Greg Sanders carefully walks around the body, taking pictures
as he collects the evidence...
Back in the hallway.....
Grissom: According to his body temperature, and rigor mortis - he's been dead
for six hours. Which puts his TOD at 2:00 a.m.
Warrick: His gun shot would indicates that this couldn't of been a suicide.
The pattern of the wound doesent match.
Grissom: Yes, but the blood spatter tells us otherwise.
Warrick: I'm going to test his hands for GSR, that will decide who's right.
Warrick takes the right hand of the victim, takes the GSR kit and tests the
victim's hands.
Grissom:You know, I'm not doubting your skills as a CSI,
but we need to see all of the evidence before we make conclusions.
Warrick: It's light blue, he has traces of GSR, but not enough to make him the shooter.
Grissom: Alright, lets send this body to the medical lab.
They collect their things and move into the next room. Grissom takes out his
cell phone and call Cathrine - there is no answer.
Grissom: Have you seen Cathrine?
Warrick: Yeah, we finished a case a couple of days ago.
I guess she's taking time off.
Grissom(serious look): Why didn't you say anything before?
Warrick: I'm sorry, I thought you knew. She tells you everything.
Grissom: You stay with Greg and finish the case, I'm going to find out what
happened.

Blurred vision.
Cathrine begins to wake up.She slowly begins to see clearly.
She was inside of an old farm house. Her mouth was taped shut,
she was bound tightly to a chair.A man with a mask on his face
approached her.
Man: Little miss beauty is finaly waking up......
Cathrine is still in the awakening stage,her mid was clouded from a drug.
Man:You wanted to meet me, well here I am - in the flesh.
[pause]
You know watching you from a distance was fun, but being this close is
even better.
Youre real pretty up close,luv.
Cathrine tried to make noise, to move the chair.
Man: No, No, luv. No one is going hear you. We are far way from you
police friends. It's just me and you.
I'm going to take the tape off now, try not to scream,luv.
Like I said before: It isn't -going -to -help.
the man removes the tape...
Cathrine: What do you want with me?
Man: Have I not made it clear already, I like ya.
Cathrine: My team will find me and they will put you in jail, where you
belong.
Man: Oh, no, what will I ever do?(Laughs) Trust me,luv. You will be dead
by the time your friends get here.
Cathrine: Why did you kill those girls?
Man: Because they were just like you.They never understood that I loved
them!
I took them on romantic dates, then I took them to the lake. And thats
where all goes wrong.
They break up with me - tellin' me they are goin to call the police If
don't let them go!
So I shut thos b****s up![pause] You know, who ever said the
women are withes was right. They make you believe in things that are not
real, then the take your heart and plunge a knife in it.
Cathrine: No one is at fault at you obssesion with women.
Man: Oh, sure, luv. You are telling a man that murdered 12 women.
You'd think they would get it. But - NO!
Meanwhile...............
A black GM truck pulls up at Cathrine Willows House. Gil Grisson walks out with
an extra key to the house. Grissom enters. The hose was clean and everything
was in its place. The house was furnished with warm clours and furniture.
Grissom observed the house.... then he made his way into the kitchen. Nothing
has been touched. Then he opens the refrigirator to find some vegitables and
take-out.
Grissom returs to the living room. Picks up his cell phone and makes a call.
Grissom: Warrick, It's Grissom. Drop everything - Cathrine was kidnaped.
TBC...............

Sara Sidle: Her car is still there, and the door on the driver's side was open.
Nick: She was probably gettting in her car when she was kidnaped.
Grissom: Archie, see you can pull anything off the survaillance.
Archie: Already there. Got nothing off the tape, it was dark and the
suspect was wearing black making practically invisible.
Warrick: There is has to be som ething we can do.
Nick: Yeah, I mean It's Cathrine were talking about.
Sara Sidle: We got her car, can't get GPS off that. Maybe her cell phone?
Grissom: I tried calling he but I get no answer.
Greg: That still works, her is onn, we try to locate her that way.
Grissom: Archie ?
Archie: I'm on it.
Grissom: Warrick, Greg I need to go back to the case and pull up everything you found.

Archie in the audio/video analysis lab, with Sarah and Nick.
Archie is typing numbers into the computer trying to find a location.
Archie: I can't get a location. The only thing I can get you is a search
area.
Nick: ok, the best you can get.
Archie: She is aproximatly at North East at Hwy. 15 and Glassland.
Sarah:Lets get everybody and find Cathrine.
Both leave.
They join Grissom, Warrick, and Greg in another room.
Nick: Hey guys we got a location.
Grissom: Ok, get Brass. Were going.
All leave.

EXT. LAS VEGAS.
Police cars and a helicopter speed through the highway. Sirens wail.
LVPD SQUAD CAR MOVING ALONG Hwy. 15.
GM Van follows the police cars. Inside is the CSI team.
Sarah: I hope we find her.
Nick: I hope It's not too late.
Thirty minutes later they arrive at their destination.
Brass(on the radio): All units,turn off the sirens, we don't want to tip him off.
We will quietly cruise through.
DISPATCH over radio) Roger that, 486.
Greg looking out the front window.
Greg: How are supposed to know which farm house it is?
INT.Farm House.
Man in the mask walks towards a window, looks out.
Man: Looks like the party has arrived.
Which means that we must leave,luv.
The man revomes the tape fron her hands, then feet. Cathrine fights him
off and head for the door. The man, in rage goes after her.
FINAL CHAPTER

Glad they caught the guy and saved Catherine. Loved the teamwork in finding her and that you involved Archie. Being a PureJoy shipper, I loved where you had Grissom pulling Cath into a tight embrace. They don't let them hug much on the show, but when they do, it's nice. Anyway, this was a good fic and I enjoyed it.
