FLASH IN:

EXT. VARIOUS LAS VEGAS CITY - NIGHT

Flash to:

EXT.Village-Crystal Bay- NIGHT.

A man drives a red car down the road, a beautiful brunette in the seat next to him. They smile, laugh, kiss.

They approach Lake Tahoe. They look at one another and kiss before they exit the car.

The scene begins to play like black/white movie....

Music begins to play in the car in the background:

"Where the Wild Roses Grow"

They call me The Wild Rose

But my name was Elisa Day

Why they call me it I do not know

For my name was Elisa Day

The man and woman sat on the grass at the lake's bay, talking and
laughing.

The man opened a bottle of wine and poured in two plastic cups, they

began to kiss, their kisses were turning more intimate, their love was

turning a cool October night into a warm July breeze.

From the first day I saw her I knew she was the one

As she stared in my eyes and smiled

For her lips were the colour of the roses

They grew down the river, all bloody and wild

When he knocked on my door and entered the room

My trembling subsided in his sure embrace

He would be my first man, and with a careful hand

He wiped the tears that ran down my face

They call me The Wild Rose

But my name was Elisa Day

Why they call me it I do not know

For my name was Elisa Day

The woman fell a sleep, the man got up, got dressed and went to the lake.

He washed his face, as he looked through the dark water he saw a big rock.

He picked it up and went to his lover's side. He watched her as she

peacefuly slept on the blanket.

And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief

He stroked her still body, and planted a kiss on her red rose lips...

As I kissed her goodbye, I said, 'All beauty must die'

And lent down and planted a rose between her teeth...

He stood up and swung his hand over her head with a rock in his fist and hit

her.

He wiped of the blood, and gently picked her up and layed her into the cool

waters of Lake Tahoe. The water washed the blood away as it toucher her

spleeping body.

They call me The Wild Rose

But my name was Elisa Day

Why they call me it I do not know

For my name was Elisa Day.

He picked up the bloody blacket and the wine threw it in the trunk and left.

A black GM jeep pulls up - Gil Grisson walks into the crime scene.

Bras: Hey.

Grissom: Hey.

So, Whats the story?

Walking toward the victim.....

Brass: Unknown brunette lying in the Lake Tahoe...no ID. Fatal wound to

the head. No other evidence.......

Grissom: There is always evidence Jim.

Jim Brass and Gil Grissom are standing over the dead body.

Grissom looking around...

Grissom: She's wearing a dress...she may have been on a date....

Bras: police officers found a blood pool on the grass - 4 feet from
where she was dumped.

Grissom walking towards the blood pool.

Grissom:There isn't a lot blood, and she was hit with a heavy

object there should have been more blood.

Bras: Maybe he cleaned up.

Grissom: It's hard to do that when youre lying on the grass.

Which means she they were sitting on a blanket. Were looking at our

prime crime scene.

Who discovered the body?

Bras: That couple over there, they came up here later that night - around 1 am.

His girlfriend went down to the lake and thats when she saw it....

Grissom: Well this a romantic spot...

Cathrine Willows , Nick Stokes arrive at the crime scene.

Cathrine: Word is : that there is a murders at Lover's lake.

Grissom: You are refering to Lover's Lake in Georgia.

Nick: I thought that was a myth.

Grissom: Mybe not anymore....After all myths which are believed in tend to

become true.

CH 1.

EXT. VARIOUS LAS VEGAS CITY - DAY.

Flash to:

EXT.Village-Crystal Bay - DAY.

Nick Stokes, Cathrime Willows, and Gil Grissom investigate the crime scene.

Cathrine: Ok, So, I'll track down the murder weapon.

Grissom: Well, you don't have to look to far. Looking downwards...

Cathrine: It's a rock...? So, what was his motive?

Nick: Maybe they got an argument.....he got mad...

Grissom: At this point it can be anything........

Cathrine: Alright, I'm off to lab -and I'm taking the rock with me,
have Sanders run the blood sample through CODIS.

Grissom: We'll be here.

Cathrine: keep me posted.

EXT.LAS VEGAS - CITY - DAY.

INT. CRIME LAB.

CSI Greg SAnders examining evidence.

Cathrine Willows walks in.........

Cathrine: Hey Greg, got new evidence.

Greg (looking at the rock): Is that your witness..?

Cathrine: Very funny, I need you to examine the blood, maybe we can ID the victim.

Greg takes the rock and examines it.....

Greg: There is a lot of scalp on this rock, the killer must of hit the victim hard.

Cathrine: Grissom and Nick are at the crime scene trying to figure out what happened.

Greg runs the blood sample..the results arrive......

Greg: Your Jane Doe name is : Emily Finch. She doesen't have a criminal
record, but, she did file a former complaint against her boyfriend a few months ago.

Cathrine: Abuse, and death threats.
I think we found are motive.

Cathrine leaves the lab......

Greg: Youre welcome!

TBC.......

Anyone else out there? At least I'm reading :)
One tiny nitpick, it should be "our motive" in that last line.

What's the timeline for this story just out of curiosity? What season does it take place in, I mean...

I admire you for writing your fic in this format (the screenplay/teleplay format). I've tried that myself and it's always too exhausting for me, so I gave up and just went back to regular story form.

Anyway, this is a good start. You seem to have the characters down pretty well.

I like your fic title too. :)

I apologize for not being clear... ( I am not true writer) but there clues in the

writing that you could look for to tell what is going on. for example this line:

their love was turning a cool October night into a warm July breeze. From this

line we know its October, and its present day. But the idea is that the first

scene is like a black/white movie.

My idea of writing fiction is staying true to the show and the characters,

but writing it our in a different way, with the same frame work.

Cathrine walks through the lab hallways - pick up her cell phone and calls

Warrick.

Cathrine: Hey, Warrick. Its Cathrine - I got a suspect to visit - wanna

take a ride?

EXT. LAs VEGAS.CITY. NIGHT.

INT.NIGHT CLUB.

Lound music, people dancing, drinking at the bar.

Cathrine: Ok, I think we should split up, he can't be too far.

Warrick: Alright...I'll take the bar and the dance floor area.

Cathrine: I'll take the other side.

Warrick makes his way trough the crowd, when he spots Emily Finch's

boyfriend.

Warrick starts to walk toward him...

Mason Trenton was standing at the bar chatting up a girl.

Warrick: You don't seem to mourn over the dead, do you?

Mason T: Do I know you?

Warrick: Warrick Brown, Las Vegas Crime Lab. Warrick flashes his badge.

Mason T: Shit! Mason takes off running through the crowd and pushing

people down on his way out.

Warrick runs after him, catches up and jumps him from the back

knocking him on the ground.

Warrick: Nothing says "I'm guilty" like running away from a cop Mason!

Cathrine catches up.

Cathrine: Mason Trenton you are under arrest for murder of Emily Finch.

INT. LAS VEGAS CRIME LAB.

Interrogation Room.

Cathrine Willows and warrick Brown interrogating Mason Trenton

for murderiong his girlfriend Emily Finch.

Cathrine: Why did you murder girlfriend, Mason?

Mason T : I didn't.

Warrick: Your girlfriend files a complait about you 2 months ago, No?

Mason T: Yeah, she did, we got in an argument, i drank a bit too much

that night. And we got in to it.

Cathrine: So what happened ? She pissed you off and you decided to shut her up?

Mason T: No, I smacked her a few times, so that she would stop getting

on my case.

Warrick: How hard did you hit her?

Cathrine: We know you have a history of violence against women and we know you beat up the victim the night she was murdered.

Mason T: I didn't beat her up.

Cathrine: Well, ok then, just tell us how badly do you have to beat up

a woman before it fits your definition of beating up?

Mason T: I hit her! Yes! But I didn't kill her. Because I loved Her.

I gotta a problem,Ok. I lost my job, our relationship was a mess.

Warrick: What happened after you got in fight?

Mason T: I stormed out, went back to the bar again. Stayed there for a while, got piss drunk.

Met some pretty girl and we left the bar together, you can ask the bar tender.

Next, day I woke up with a head-ache next to some other girl. Thats it!

Warrick: I'm going to ask you one last question, Is this your ring?

Shows him a small ring with a diamond in an evidence bag.

Mason T: Yeah. It was a gift for her. A week before we got into a fight, I asked her to marry me.

Bought that ring with my last money. Said she wasn't gonna marry a man with no job, and no future.

Cathrine: Alright, well. we can't say youre not guilty, yet.

But'well keep you in a cell, until we figure out what happend that night.

Cathrine and Warrick leave......

CSI: LAS VEGAS

VARIOUS CITY.

INT. LAS VEGAS CRIME LAB.

Cathrine Willows and Warrick Brown in the Lab hallway.

Cathrine: Something isn't wright. He got in a fight

with her the night she was killed, and yet he's not the killer?

Warrick:Technically, there is not enough evidence to prove that he killed

her.

Cathrine: Basically, we got a dead end.

Warrick: Maybe not, I say we review what we got so far

...maybe were looking at this case the wrong way.

Cathrine Willows and Warrick Brown walking into a room, where all

evidence put together.

Warrick: Ok, so what do we have so far?

Cathrine: Not much,a rock with victim's blood, sample from a blood pool,

a red fibre from the blanket, and a dead girl.

There were no traces of the killer.........

Warrick: Car tracks?

Cathrine: No, too degrated to be able to match anything. The killer

walked out clean.

Greg Sanders walks in...

Greg Sanders: Youre killer didn't walk clean - and I can prove it.

Cathrine and Warrick look at one another.

Cathrine: Go on were listening..........

Greg: When I was examining the rock, I didn't exactly pay attention.

I was only examining one side....[interrupted]

Warrick: More to the point Greg....

Greg: Well, I found a partial bloody fingerprint on the rock,

when I examined it, the blood was still wet. But then it dried a preserved

the finger print.

Cathrine: So all we need is to match it to one of our suspects. Great!

Greg: Actually, You don't have to. I took the liberty of running the print,

and I got a name.

Hands the paper to both.

Greg: His name is Alexander Willox. [nervous voice] He's a serial killer in

Las Vegas.

Cathrine [shocked]

Warrick: You know this guy?

Cathrine: Yeah, I worked this case about 10 years ago. He was accused

of murdering 16 women.

He claimed that he was insane.....technically the court can't do anything, they couldn't put him behind bars...he was addmited to a psychiatric ward.

About 3 months later he escaped.Police searched all of Las Vegas they couldn't find him.

Warrick: And now he's back.

Greg: Mybe there is similarity between this case and his previous cases?

Cathrine: The story was always the same.He dated his victims, for about

three days.

He takes them to various romantic places, but on a third date he takes them to Lake Tahoe, at night.

Thats when he makes the kill. He killed them with a rock, dumped the body into the lake. And left a single red rose.

Warrick: He was obsessed with these women.

Greg: Not in a good way. Most cases would have happy endings.

[light smile]

Warrick gives Greg a serious look

Cathrine: But he never left a rose this time.

Warrick: So maybe he really did love her..........

To be Continued....................

CSI: LAS VEGAS

VARIOUS CITY.

INT. LAS VEGAS CRIME LAB.

Cathrine: So How do we look for him?

Warrick: I'll talk to Brass, maybe he can get
police officers to search the areas.

Cathrine: He may be a psycho, but I don't think he would

come back to the same places, he probably knows

were looking for him.

Warrick: So,now what?

Cathrine: Honestly,I don't know.
This case is driving me nuts.

[pause]

One the one hand I don't want to give up
and have another woman end up on our autopsy table,
On the other: We have no clues, not even an aproximate search area.

Warrick: So I guess that's it.

Cathrine: For now.

Warrick: Youre goin home?

Cathrine: Yeah. It's been a long day.
Youre staying?

Warrick: Yeah, I'll put the evidence away. Clean up.

Greg : I'll help Warrick.

Cathrine: Alright have fun...Bye.

BOTH: Bye!

Cathrine goes into the locker room changes into different clothes.
Takes her perse and heads for the parking lot.

As Cathrine aproaches her car a shadow creeps behind her.She opens the door....

BLACK OUT.
