CSI LV: Official Renewed

Thank you for the article Destiny :)

Lots of surprises???
Maybe they'll make Greg a lab rat again  Just to make sure he gets more screen time... I mean since he's a CSI he was barely to see...
Or Langston will be leading CSI??? Surprise, surprise is all I can say

Some longtime CSI viewers, though, are taking some time to warm up to Fishburne's character, Professor Ray Langston.

Some time??? I guess I'll never really get warm with Langston because they just want to shove him down our throads... and that's not what I wanted to see as a fan of the characters who made the show what it was till the end of season 8. Of course there was nothing to read about that the fans want to see the beloved teamwork again...

Yeah we will see where this is going... hopefully not downwards.

I have warmed up to Langston, and I can appreciate his character. I hope these "surprises" next season involved the team as a whole or ALL of the characters and not just one or two.

I think Greg is slowly becoming a lab rat again, due to the fact that we haven't seen him in the field as much anymore.

I'm glad it's been renewed but trepidatious about what it will be like if Season 9 is any indication.

Will cross my fingers and hope for the best! Thanks for the news Destiny!

Whether that might mean adding another new face to the mix, she does not know. "I'll have to wait and hear what they're planning," says Tassler.
Oh please. Surely they can't think that adding a third new person to the mix is going to appease their "longtime viewers". Someone send them a link to our forums, asap!!

A new face could mean anything from someone joining the team, to someone who is part of the show but not seen unless needed... But they sure put the rumor in there.

Liiiiiiike....Greg? :shifty:

:guffaw:

Thanks for posting this stuff, Destiny!

Surprises? Great. I'm all for surprises, but somehow I think they'll be for Langston. Budget cuts are happening so instead of adding they could be subtracting from the cast. Contracts be damned.

Of course, it could a surprise like Nick and Catherine are secretly married and Greg is their child. :guffaw:

Riley was once a man? Warrick comes back to life?

Well, if we can get through a season without anymore strikes and actors leaving, on their own accord, it could be a good season.

Thanks for the article. It could be positive. If they aknowledge that fans are not warminp up to Ray and they believed, maybe some changes may come.At least I hope.I want more of Catherine,Nick and Brass and others should get their wishes as well.

:guffaw: Funny stuff.

We do not need any new people. Maybe they mean Wendy coming on as a CSI or Hodges since he seems to have worked out in the field much more than she has. I think he has worked more in the field than Greg even did when he was trying to become a CSI.

I doubt they will be adding any new regular characters; everyone is cutting expenses, not adding to them. They could bring in an occassional recurring character with a specific story arc that runs throughout the season; which would be okay with me. Or some good guest stars. I think they need to mix it up a bit. The show has gotten a little stale and has tried to play it too safe since WP left. The screen time of the characters isn't what bothers me so much, it's the lack of good storylines.
That said, I think this is a rather generic response and shouldn't make too much of it right now. Ms.Tassler obviously doesn't know what CM and NS have planned, but I'm sure she hopes there will be some exciting surprises.

I'll be interested to see how Fringe does in this timeslot. I like that show, and it could take away some of the younger demo from CSI. It doesn't have the mass appeal that CSI or GA does, but it may attract some procedural fans who like their mystery and gore with a little sci-fi.

I am a big Fringe fan and I can't believe they are moving it!Tuesday is such a perfect time slot for this show ,I feel they will kill it with this move because people are loyal to their shows and I for one will be watching CSI ...but if they start that season nine, shoving Langston down my throat thing,I will change my loyalty, because it will become clear they are all about one character and to heck with the rest.

What would surprise me most if they remember that this is an ensemble cast and not a one man show.

Thanks Destiny.

i wish David Berman became a full time cast member. he's way awesome. i bet they're gonna make Wendy a CSI Level 1. Langston is probably gonna advance to Level 2. i'm afraid Catherine is going to step down, though. i know Marg doesn't want to die in this role. Nick becomes supervisor and the team consists of Greg, Langston, Wendy, and Riley. the labrats stay the same. Brass and Doc Robbins help to bring the old vibe back. Ecklie is still a pain in the butt. CSI feels like ER. end of surprises.

but seriously, i think most of the surprises are going to pertain Catherine and i think it's going to be her season. she hasn't gotten a major storyline in a while and since, imo, Cath is soon to leave, the writers are going to make up a creative way to write her off. something different than a burnout, cuz we already got one from Grissom and Sara. something different than killing her off cuz we got that from Warrick. and something different than CSI!InDanger cuz we got that in 4 season finales in a row.

another surprise might be the return of Grissom and Sara too, of course.
