Chicago P.D. is the spinoff to NBC's Chicago Fire.

    Chicago P.D.
Wednesdays on NBC (10-11 p.m. ET); Series Premiere: Jan. 8

From multiple Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf and the team behind the hit series "Chicago Fire," "Chicago P.D." is a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city's most heinous offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond. At the center of "Chicago P.D." is Detective Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), who is at ground zero of the war on crime in Chicago. He will do ANYTHING to bring criminals to justice.

Hand-picked as the head of the Unit, Voight has assembled a team of diverse detectives who share his passion, and commitment to keep the city safe. They include: Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) who is more level-headed and 'by the book' than his counterpart; Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), a brash young detective who previously saw active military duty in the Middle East; Halstead’s partner Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush), a former 'bad girl' who turned her life around with Voight's help; Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas), an experienced undercover detective and confidante for Voight; and Kyle Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), a quick-witted cadet plucked from the police academy as Olinsky's partner.

The Unit also includes two rising young uniform cops - Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), a charismatic patrolman who has an active social life and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), a patrol officer who strives to one day become a part of the elite Intelligence Unit. Sheldon Jin (Archie Kao) is the tech geek, who is in charge of surveillance and tech ops.

In addition to Wolf, executive producers include Matt Olmstead ("Chicago Fire," "Breakout Kings," "Prison Break"), Peter Jankowski ("Law & Order" branded series, "Chicago Fire,"), Michael Brandt and Derek Haas ("Chicago Fire," 3:10 to Yuma), Danielle Gelber ("Chicago Fire") and Mark Tinker ("NYPD Blue").

"Chicago P.D." is produced by Wolf Films in association with Universal Television.

THE INTELLIGENCE UNIT RACES AGAINST THE CLOCK TO TAKE DOWN THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BOMBING – The Intelligence Unit works to find the bombers. Even with government agencies in the mix, Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team work the case from their own angles and connections. Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Antonio (Jon Seda) question doctors who handled the transplant surgery for an Ambassador from Syria, but no clues emerge. Olinsky (Elias Koteas) gets some solid intel and the team work from there. It's a race against time as they realize there may be additional bombs targeted to detonate. Meanwhile Burgess (Marina Squerciati) sits vigil for her niece whose life hangs in the balance. Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins and Archie Kao also star. Taylor Kinney, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Eamonn Walker, Amanda Righetti and Charlie Barnett guest star.
