Case request! Las Vegas!

What sort of case would you like to see in CSI?
I'd like to see a case like this....
A great event in Las Vegas, ends up with a public murder of an important politician. As usually the FBI will overrule the CSI, but the CSI's discovered a dark history of the murdered politician....

I would like to see a recurring killer, someone who appears maybe every couple of years. We had Paul Millander and the blue paint killer early in the series. Maybe bring back Zephyr, the magician from Abra Cadaver.

Maybe bring on some of the cast from the NBC canceled "Las Vegas": James Caan, Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Molly Sims, Nikki Cox, etc.

How about an Ocean's Eleven type case. CSI's don't just investigate murders. Remember the Japanese sword that was stolen? We need other types of cases besides deaths.

What about investigating where their labrats disappear to? Some of them were pretty good and are missed.

I would love to see more non-murders too. I'm kinda burned out on recurring/serial killers though, since I hated so much about the Jekyll storyline. Maybe a serial arsonist or something, but wrapped up in one episode..

I agree with the idea of having non-murder cases. I think they should do another kidnapping (Not of one of the CSIs, of course) of a teenager or even an adult or something that doesn't turn into murder. But robberies and arsons sound good too.

No new serial killers for awhile, we have a new serial killer every season, I'm serial killered out, the mini killer and DJK would be fine though

Arsons, kidnappings, rapes, a case going to court and something doesn't go right, really anything non murder, when was the last time we had one of those, and at night since the team is on the night shift

I think in the "old days" when the concept of CSI was new and fresh, they could get away with Nick investigating a "smash and grab" at a jewelry store or Catherine and Warrick investigating the theft of a painting. But as copycat shows came along and other crime dramas began to push the limits, those kinds of cases won't fly anymore.

I think the die hard fans would welcome that kind of show again, but in reality it just wouldn't be successful against the grittier competition these days.

I'd like to see something similar to A La Carte or Lovers Lanes. Where in the end the team does something like...someones injured or murdered in a karaoke bar and once they solve the case, they meet up, have some drinks, and sing!

Yeah, yeah I know this wouldn't go well for some people who are all about the hard crime but remember Doc, Nick, and Sara have GREAT voices! This would be a way to really "close the case" & showcase some talent.

You know what I would love to see, Hodges out in the field working a case with just Greg. Mostly because since day one these two have always pestered each other and I think it would make for a funny episode. I know someone else who would agree with me on this idea. You know who you are ;)

This happened in CSI NY. Not exactly, as you described, but some sort of thing did happen.

Another nice case, also happens sometimes, is an accident. Everyone, who argued with the person killed, has a motive to murder him/ her. However, in the end this turns out to be a very nasty accident, caused by the murdered person him- or herself.

ah ... the good old Agatha Christie approach.... :)
It could work.....

Long Ball? :)

I want cold case that is accidentally re-opened like in 'Young Man with a Horn.' I also
like a simple one-episode serial killer like in 'Art Imitates Life' - maybe someone who chokes his victims with casino chips. :shifty:  I don't know I'm no writer. Just anything so simple not as sophisticated and complicated as Dr. Jekyll.
