Carmine in Black Hawk Down

*nods sagely* Ah yes, I forgot that I actually gave the Danny-clone to Lindsay over in the "Presents for the team" thread--I couldn't remember if I'd given it to a team-member or a poster on here. (I gave a lot of dirty little gifties ). Hopefully you didn't leave your clones in the microwave for too long, like I did, because that makes them a bit, uh, enthusiastic, even if mentally they're a bit slow. Nothing wrong with that, of course. ;) Oh, and guys, treat the clones with care--they do have feelings, you know... ;)

*has sudden image of Macayla and Lizzy giving him a spongebath* Uh, eww *shudders* Aren't spongebaths for people who can't bathe themselves? Is it because you've worn the clones out? Oh, and rubber duckies make it all sound so...well, I suppose pervy is the word I'm looking for. Have fun though, I'll just stay on this side of the street!

Now, back on topic, those are some good screencaps, y'all. Isn't it funny how a person can look completely different in different roles? I think someone posted the character's name earlier, Lizzy . (I just checked--goran posted that he played Mike Goodale)

My sister and I were marvelling the other day about the number of non-Americans in BHD. They all had great accents--if I hadn't known that they weren't American, it would never have crossed my mind (except for maybe Orlando Bloom--his kind of sucked, to be quite honest, but he didn't have many lines, so I can deal with it. ;)) I could only wish that some American actors could pull of good British, Australian, etc. accents. (Did anybody else see Josh Hartnett in "Blow Dry" with Alan Rickman? It was a great movie, not least of which because it had Alan Rickman in it, but Josh's accent was absolutely atrocious! I'm not even British and I thought it sounded bad. Maybe it's just me, but I wanted to throw something at the screen...)

Well, I think that's all for now. I'm going to have nightmares about rubber duckies tonight...
"Rubber duckie, you're the one...you make bathtime lots of fun..."

 Thanks Fay, I just have a sudden image of rubber duck so I wrote it and turns out very funny. Carmine with rubber duck :D, I thought you want to join us, Or you still tired with waxing Carmine's chest hair :p

And I never saw Josh's Blow Dry movie thought, he's not my type. But he's cute, just I like Carmine more.

And in BHD at least Orlando that is not American he's British.

Yeah, S'good--S'all good...

Lizzy, I was a bit confused about what the end of your post meant, but I took it to mean that you were pointing out that Orlando is British (if that's not what you meant, sorry for the misunderstanding :)) I know Orlando's British, I was just pointing out that his fake accent was pretty bad--better than my British accent, of course, but not as good as some of the others in the movie.

I might like the pervy rubber duckie thing, but certainly not with two other chicas--that would be creepy...*shudders* I got bored waxing his chest (the ingrown hairs were starting to bug me ;)), especially since I apparently managed to find the wax that only lasts for a week (the wax must also contain miracle grow or something!) My little sister has a rubber duck that's wearing a bandanna and carrying an axe--don't ask me why, it just is...

Weeeeell, back to the topic. ;) I have to go back and watch the special features to see if they show him during the training thingy, when they went to bootcamp. I'll be his drill sergeant, if you catch my drift *nudge nudge*

*comes running back from post office* I have send the Danny clone to you Lizzy

We enjoyd the scrubbing thing! didn't we Lizzy? I know I did ;)

Let me know if he does appear in the special features Fay , if else I'm not bying it :p

Let me know if he does appear in the special features Fay , if else I'm not bying it

He is in one of the deleted scenes. ;) Also, about the training camp /boot camp thing...if I remember correctly, this question was asked at the chat and he said something like he missed the boot camp that they held in the U.S., but that he did have some training on location...this is fresh in my mind b/c I just posted the link to the transcript in the LR.

Anyway, I didn't see him in the boot camp feature on the dvd. ;)

Such a bootcamp for months while his role is so small

He said he had a week or two of training, not months. ;)

Christian: hungry4theWolfe: I want to know what it was like to go through boot camp to film Black Hawk Down?

Carmine Giovinazzo: 4 months in Africa for the shoot was amazing... I had a week or two training there... came on late so missed the boot camp in the States... but we flew in Blackhawks... fast roped from abandoned buildings... got very familiar with an M16... we were taught by an ex Navy Seal.

chat transcript for those who may not read the LR

It looks like he got to do lots of cool stuff though...I bet the 'fast roping' is pretty scary, or it'd scare me anyway, lol.

Ohhh I read over that . I did read it a while ago :D
The fast roping would scare the sh:eek:t out of me, I would be affraid to fall or something.
I would like to fly in a Black Hawk though

Ohhh I read over that . I did read it a while ago

;) No prob, I over look stuff all the time!

I just added the link over here too b/c I'm sure there are some who don't read the LR threads...

Back to the bonus features...I did see him briefly, I think, in one of the featurettes, I can't remember offhand which one, maybe someone else will know...I'll try to find it tomorrow, and I'll make a cap of it to post.

That would be great! :D

In the meanwhile...

Got to love the smile :)

Yeh, love his smile for sure. Thanks for the clone Macayla I was kindda rough on him last night..so..I leave it for your imagination then :D

And Fay I just mean that in BHD, they're all American soliders, right? I just say that Orlando is not he's British that's all. Sorry that I confuse you. And I like that you're not going wax Carmine again. He's kindda complain about it that it's really hurt :D

Orlando's not the only British one in there, either. I know several Brits in there for a fact: Jason Issacs, Ewan McGreggor and Hugh Dancey. The guy who had a seizure was played by Ioan Gruffud (or something close to that), and he's from Britain or Ireland or something, I think. And Eric Bana is Australian.

(BTW: Is Ewan McGreggor British, or did I totally miss that one? I know he's not American, but...)

And don't forget to be kind to your clones!

I think Ewan is British, I don't know. And yes I'll be kind with my clones :D *say to Carmine* I'm sorry honey, I shouldn't take away your rubber duck, please forgive me!
