cosmopolitan- CaRWash choice of drink as seen in Legal

taking her class- CaRWash creativity; used by Ryan in Legal and inspired by Calleigh

laptop combustion- caution, ship will cause sparks to fly!

diamond in the rough- metaphor used to describe CaRWash's relationship

colour coded orange- CaRWash's signature colour

OCD- aka Ryan's 'obsessing over Calleigh' disorder

bonding over evidence- source of many famous CaRWash quotes; what Calleigh and Ryan spend most of their time doing in the lab

subtle- term to use CaRWash's connection

"You, in the elevator. With me. We're leaving now" - what Calleigh says when she is on Ryan's side but can't show it [although Ryan couldn't quite see it at the moment, could he?]

Gator Bait - Nickname for Ryan as given by Calleigh in Under The Influence
"You could've been Gator Bait on your first day" - "Don't you ever do something like that again."

CaRWash - Calleigh and Ryan Wolfe addicted shippers, relation between Calleigh and Ryan as referred to by shippers and other fandomers.

"I don't follow" - Comment used by Ryan twice when talking to Calleigh, meaning "I don't know what you're talking about, but please explain it to me so I can talk to you longer.

Ryan- Irish for little king, may be a possibility of him crowing 'I'm king of the lab!'

Calleigh- name is variant of Kaylee; Kay and the suffix Lee combined. Kay short for Katherine, is Greek for pure.

copping a swab- stolen moment between Calleigh and Ryan where she swabs his hand after he gets DNA evidence under his fingernails in Cyberlebrity; note that they obviously miss each other.

sending flowers- Ryan's method of apology; has the Calleigh Duquense seal of approval.

the stare - Calleigh and Ryan's technique for getting the bad guys (and occasionally Frank) to give in; patented since the episode Legal. Warning: do not mess with the stare.

locker room talk - period of the day where Ryan and Calleigh confide to each other when alone in the locker room; most recognizable example is when she tells him her guilty pleasure in the episode Rush and when she comforts him in the episode Driven.

And don't think I forgot CaRWash New Year's resolutions! Don't forget to post what you want to see from CaRWash this year. As a matter of fact, I've got mine...

1. More quality time with Calleigh-- in and out of the lab.
2. Look into further character development.
3. Stay out of trouble.
4. Hug Calleigh more often; aim for a kiss--

Thanks Karu Mila; what a great way to start the new year. And may I just say that I adore the CaRWash dictionary?

I'll see if I can try and make some kind of fanart or banner for this thread sometime this weekend.

Ryan's resolutions rock! :lol: (Heh. Alliteration.) I'd sneak a peak at Calleigh's but she's guarding that really well. Plus she's armed. They don't call her gun girl for nothing.

Well, since I can't get at her resolutions, I'll have to list mine:

1. More screen time for our pair. (Meaning more scenes with them working/bantering together or even better, not in a working environment. If TPTB give us a scene with them having a nice friendly lunch, even if they get interrupted by a crime scene, that would totally make my day! )
2. It'd be great if they melted or lightened somewhat. (I miss smiling, joking Calleigh and impulsive, silly Ryan from season three. They were the kind of people who would quarrel but then settle it with a beer and be okay. If they were less icy they would surely recapture the wonderful camaraderie of earlier seasons.

)
3. In conjunction with number two, less drama for them, please. (If it's not Calleigh getting endangered, it's Ryan making a stupid mistake even a rookie would scoff at. There are others in the cast. How about you heap some drama on Ms. BoaVista or he who is compared to the Cubic Zirconium? )
4. And my last resolution (since we only seem to be doing four ) I want, nay, I demand a hug between Calleigh and Ryan! (My Vegas ship has had three hugs but these two haven't had so much as a pat on the back! What gives!? And they've had plenty of opportunity; injury + comfort = hug. Not that hard, TPTB. Friends can hug too. Though shippers will feel free to dissect and squee over such an event.)

That is all. I don't think I'm being unreasonable but then TPTB of the CSI franchise like to infuriate shippers alot. Maybe we should mail these resolutions to the CSI Miami writers. Think they could take a hint then?

We should send the list anyway.Even if they don't react the way we want,they will at least know what we think.

Happy New Year! A nice shiny new thread for the new year.I like it. Hopefully 2009 will see lots of good scenes between our pair. I agree with all the lists.1) Definitely need more interaction 2) a return to s3/4 goodness and 3) a good scene in the locker room, maybe involving a hug... 4) character development (esp. for Ryan)
Im hopeful for the coming eps. Maybe Cal and Ryan will have a good scene with Billy, the kid Ryan dropped off at school

For those of you new to TALK CSI or to Shipper Central we have a few rules here.

We have a title! Wonderful. Can anyone remind me what episode/scene the quote came from? I'm not very good with CaRWash scenes. And that kind of sucks when I'm trying to make a graphic dedicated to this pair. :lol: I remember them having some nice lab scenes early on and I had some pictures saved from when I was on a CaRWash kick a few years ago.

Anyway, I just want to say I made a little fanart for this pair. I wouldn't call it a banner and it's not big enough to be a wallpaper so fanart seems like a good choice. I chose pics where Ryan is staring at Calleigh, plus they're in the lab. They had such nice moments in the lab early on. (I'm seriously tempted to e-mail my resolutions!

What do you all think? Oh, and since my memory for CaRWash scenes is so bad, is it possible to add episode titles under each listing in the CaRWash dictionary, where applicable? Like the elevator scene, "we love alibis", and the Ryan sending flowers scene (even though I should remember that last one! )

I love how they interact in season 3 and season 4, we saw more them together. I think they perfect for each other. She is very close, no emotional and he the only one who can make her smile, i mean this natural huge smile. She is very serious and Ryan need someone who can stop him from mistakes and say him that he was wrong. Calleigh perfect person for it, cuz he always listen her, understand her point.

Ryan did say that... I forget what the episode was called, but it's the one where the SWAT team was called on a false hostage situation. He asked Calleigh to give him a chance to prove who made the call and she gave it to him. Anyways, hope that clears things up.
