_Calleigh_
Coroner
Pat on the shoulder? *thinks* Naaaah, that'd ruin all the great tension between them... Always close enough to touch, but never really touching.
That's them, shortly, isn't it? They've had so many occasions when they could simply have moved one step forward and kissed, but still didn't do it because of so many reasons (which, however, I don't understand ).
I guess they aren't ready to get into a relationship together. They still have to experience a lot (jealousy, for example *hints*) and it takes some time to put two and two together (especially for CSIs, apparently).
They need to know other people, flirt with them, go out with them, make each other jealous and maybe even furious, they need to have roughs, to share hard moments, to run high risks, then they'll suddenly open their eyes and realize what all they've been through means.
Let's not forget Calleigh is a very independent woman and doesn't really need a man (or that's what she thinks), while Ryan is OCD, and he must be very afraid of something as dangerous and powerful as love, since admitting he loves someone would mean admitting he has no control on it, and we all know how he's in constant need of control (and he has a lot, as he has often proven).
The Day will come, some day, but not now. Let's just give them some time and we'll see.
