Entertainment Tonight is set to spill the beans on CSI: Miami's new season, and already received word on who will be portraying newcomer Natalia Boa Vista. In a segment that will air tonight, the entertainment program will announce Boa Vista will be played by actress <font color=yellow>Eva LaRue.</font> Fans may recognize her from her role on the soap opera All My Children, in which she portrayed Maria Santos Grey. He latest television appearances include George Lopez, Hope and Faith, Soul Food and Third Watch. LaRue has been tapped to portray Boa Vista on Miami for 13 episodes with the possibility of expanding the number later on. Boa Vista is Miami's new DNA analyst, a no-nonsense Latina who shakes up the whole lab. "She's a no crap-taker girl," La Rue told Entertainment Tonight. "She's also very straightforward. I think she's likable; she's just not going to put up with anybody's crap. What you see is what you get." But unlike the other lab techs on Miami, Boa Vista's work is specific to one area. "She's only allowed to work on cold cases -- or unsolved cases -- and that's what her federal grant is for and it's very specific," LaRue added. "If she starts working on any other cases she'll lose her grant and everyone will lose all their equipment. Of course, they want her to work on their current cases but there's nothing she can do." Which has the entire lab walking on eggshells. The character is set to clash with CSIs Delko and Duquesne in the first two episodes of the season and the rest of her stay doesn't look too harmonious. Added co-star <font color=yellow>Emily Procter</font> (Calleigh Duquesne), "Calleigh might think she's bringing trouble!" Just like her character, LaRue revealed she's having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the show. Not in regards to her co-stars, but with the script. "The DNA lingo is like speaking Japanese," she said. "It's like learning a whole new language." Sofia Milos is stunning, I think she's better looking than Eva LaRue(who I can't stand), I find Emily Procter stunning as well and there was no competition between Calleigh/Yelina and really Calleigh doesn't seem to be one to care about looks/competition.
Um, you made one mistake in the article. Eva La Rue played Maria on All My Children. Julia Barr plays Brooke. But I'm very happy for Eva landing such a great role!

She's a pretty good actress. Most soap operah actors aren't very good, but she's good. From the few episodes I've seen anyway. Last I saw she was dating some really hot guy with a beard. ^^ Did she die or something?
I caught a little bit of the ET thing, missed most of it though cause my parents just came home in the middle. Can't wait to see the new season.
This is my first post here. Over on Eva La Rue's message board a few CSI: Miami fans have stopped by to say hello. I found this board a few days ago and thought I'd jump in and make my first post in this thread. I've been a fan of Eva's since 1994, her coming to CSI: Miami is definately going to make me tune into the show. Eva's character on All My Children,Maria, was not killed off. Her character moved to CA to be with family. A few years back, Eva had left the show, that was when they killed her character off. The character with a beard that you are talking of, I'm not too sure since both men she was in scenes with had facial hair. I look foward to getting to know people here more, I plan on being a frequent poster.
So wait, they killed her character and then brought it back? And then it's gone again? That's why I can't watch soap operas. I don't have the attention span.
LOL yep that's just about it. It's why the tshirt that some of Eva's soap fans have says "Life is short, then you die...then you come back to life". The character died in a plane crash off the mountains of PA into the ocean (did you know that there's an ocean in PA, I certainly didn't). She came back about five years later, with suprise surprise amnesia, classic soap. Her character took on a different name and she didn't remember who she really was for about a year. The writing for Eva's character stunk so I'm thrilled that she's on a new show that I'm sure can write much better than what ABC came up with.
That's why we're always referring to Miami as a soap opera. I'm sure Eva will be able to adjust just fine :lol:
