Aisha Tyler Joins The Cast Of 'Ghost Whisperer'

CSI Files

Captain
Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson) has been plenty busy this past year, and her schedule is about to get busier.

The Hollywood Reporter today announced the actress has joined the cast of the upcoming John Gray project series, Ghost Whisperer, which is set to air on CBS. The former stand up comedian will co-star opposite Party of Five alumni Jennifer Love Hewitt, who was cast in the main role last month. Tyler will portray Love-Hewitt's best friend.

Ghost Whisperer will revolve around the life of a young newlywed (Love-Hewitt) who can communicate with the dead. The story is based on the work of James Van Praagh, a self-proclaimed medium who maintains can contact anyone who is dead. Though the show has been referred to as Ghost Whisperer by the media, it still hasn't been officially named.

Tyler is currently under a talent deal with CBS and has recurring roles on CSI and 24. She was first introduced to CSI in the episode "Harvest" as Mia Dickerson, a DNA analyst with a few obsessive compulsive quirks. The character has developed a flirtatious relationship with Gary Dourdan's Warrick Brown, and though Tyler's new deal may affect her role on CSI, the actress has publicly admitted she's a happy workaholic.

No date for the premiere of Ghost Whisperer has been announced. To read the original report on the series visit The Hollywood Reporter. To read the news of Tyler's hiring, head over to Reuters.com.

I saw her on Regis and Kelly one moning, and she was talking about how she started out in a trashy comedy place where you had to pay to get on stage. lol. she was funny there.

And Ghost Whisperer sounds to much like horse Whisperer. so...i dont like the name lol.
