    When Will 'Sweet 16' Repeat?

Yep, that's why he was at Dallas Comic Con 7, and why I got two 8x10s signed from him (one promo pic, the other of the "blue suit" clone from 'Twin Streaks'). I guess I'll check out the legal online sources. Thanks for the tips, y'all. :D

    When Will 'Sweet 16' Repeat?

I was kinda sorta watchin' CSI: NY last night, just as a background noise sort of thing. Until I heard a familiar voice, aside from Gary Sinise's. Last spring, I met John Wesley Shipp at Dallas Comic Con 7. He's a very cool guy to talk to in person, and I had no idea he was goin' to be in...

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

I picked up a cheap copy of Frank Miller's Sin City (theatrical edition) the other day. It was alright, but not great. I was more interested in how it was filmed, not the film itself. I also picked up cheap copies of the four Harry Potter films, and will be havin' a Potter-thon next week, to...

    007 #1: Bond, James Bond

I got the first two "Ultimate Editions" a few weeks ago, and I'm workin' my way through 'em. I've seen all the Bond films, except Casino Royale, since I was a kid. Goldfinger is my favorite of the franchise. I'm glad it was the first movie of Volume One. Roger Moore, though, is my favorite...

    My name is Earl

My Name is Earl was the best comedy to premiere last season, and it's still great this season. I love the continuin' storyline of Joy's theft / third strike. When I told my grandmother about the show, that it was the funniest show I'd seen in quite awhile, she said it sounded like "Christian...

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

Well, he wasn't so hot durin' his guest spot on Seinfeld. :D Picked up Mission: Impossible III and X3: The Last Stand on DVD this week, and watched 'em both. I saw 'em in theaters durin' their run, too.

^ Michael Chiklis was great as The Thing, though.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

John Goodman was definately the highlight of last night's episode, and next week's looks like it'll be a good one, based on the preview. I didn't care for Harriet's story, though it was cool to see a Vorta guest star as a gay fan. Simon was like a broken record, and it annoyed me.

Paul Bettany was pretty good in Firewall, but overall, that movie sucked. Saw it at a free screenin' last February, and still felt robbed. I think I have a miniposter from it around here somewhere, though.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Just saw a promo showin' that John Goodman is goin' to be guest starrin' in this Monday's episode. It wasn't clear if Goodman will be a character or playin' "himself" in the episode, though. I'll be tunin' in either way.

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

I liked Scarlett in The Prestige. She was there to look pretty and be distractin', and she filled that role admirably. Of course, I think that The Prestige is one of the best movies I've seen all year. Hugh Jackman & Christian Bale were both excellant, and it wouldn't surprise me if they both...

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

Saw it last week. It's pretty good 'til the last ten minutes or so. I hated the way it ended, but other than that... Just watched Casino on DVD tonight. I didn't like it too much. The voice-over narration was a serious cheat that I think hurt the film more than helped it. De Niro & Pesci...

    Heroes

I am. :D Super Hiro is the best character, so far. I like his geekiness, his power and his comic book cover. Claire the Cheerleader is alright. Her power has a cool factor to it, especially the tackle neck snap. Hopin' that the introductions end soon, and the actual story can get goin'.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

^ I thought it was pretty funny when he said he could do Ben Stiller, and since Ben Stiller can do Tom Cruise...  The power failures on the set seemed kinda dumb, but overall, the episode was alright. It's Perry & Whitford that have me hooked on this show. And Steven Weber...

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

I went to a free advanced screenin' of The Departed tonight up in north Austin. Pretty good movie. Matt Damon & Leonardo DiCaprio carry the film, with Jack Nicholsan, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin & Mark Wahlberg in strong supportin' roles. Anthony Anderson was completely wasted, though, in his...

    Recent Purchases

I made a run to Circuit City, and used Best Buy's Sunday advert to pick up Deep Impact - Special Collector's Edition, Footloose - Special Collector's Edition, The Truman Show - Special Edition & We Were Soldiers for $5.59 each.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I've enjoyed the first couple of episodes, and will be tunin' in tonight for the third episode. Bradley Whitford & Matthew Perry have some good chemistry together, and I can buy their friendship. Nice to see that the scenes they shared on The West Wing weren't a fluke. Studio 60 reminds me...

    Shark

Saw the premiere, and the mock courtroom threw me for a loop. I tuned in for the second episode, and enjoyed the "chewin' out" of his staff, with his boss (Jeri Ryan) watchin' from a distance. I may just keep watchin', 'cause Shark is definately better than what ER has turned into these days.

    Adrien Brody

I saw Hollywoodland a couple of weeks ago. It was a pretty good movie. Not a big fan of Adrien Brody, and this movie didn't make me one. He was alright, but Ben Affleck was definately the better of the two actors. The story of George Reeves was more interestin' than Brody's detective story, too.
