    Grade 'Holding Cell'

^ haha yeah i was a bit like "really, mac?? really????" at that. the gratuitous porno club scenes annoy me too. it's just unnecessary. hmm ok then. i was a tad underwhelmed by most of it tbh. i did like the angle of how they had to work with the foreign agency, but i felt it was overkill to...

Why Lindsay Must Go, Part 4

^ i'm not convinced, i (and i believe i'm not alone) found lindsay much more likeable in season 2, before there was anything going on with danny. in fact it was the joining of her to danny at the hip that made her go downhill fast. in s2 she was far from perfect and not as good as aiden, but...

Why Lindsay Must Go, Part 4

yeah i said similar elsewhere too - if she's just being herself, she's not a natural actress, she's not an actress at all!

What do you think of season 7 so far?

^ i disagree, i think i will have to paraphrase sick boy from trainspotting on this one [season 7] ... "is merely a blip on an otherwise uninterrupted downward trajectory."

CSI:NY Season 7 in the UK

yep, that scene didn't go down well when it aired in the us either, if i remember right, i think a lot of people said then that it was ridiculous that he'd expect danny to do that so soon after his injury.

    Grade 'To What End?'

I got the impression he was. I think flack said there were mitigating factors that might mean a shorter sentence, but I think the final scene was just him recognising that in some cases you have to allow a little leeway for people about to go to jail. which was a nice idea but didn't stop it...

Gary #7; Baby, You can be my Breakfast

^ oh yeah I know it's just craig's style & usually I like it but I wanted more Gary ;) Sam I guess you mean "bedonk" - which may not be the right spelling!

    Grade 'To What End?'

la_guera - i <3 mac really but i completely agree with what you said about how abstract he makes these things. it is something i've noticed before and it always bugs me. often mac really does seem to "get" the issues around the stuff he deals with and actually connects with people involved, but...

Gary #7; Baby, You can be my Breakfast

^ i agree. don't get me wrong, i like craig a lot and i'm happy for him to witter on but he didn't let gary get 2 words out before he was off again! it *was* quite funny tho :) and yeah, he did :D

    Grade 'To What End?'

^ cheers :) *fingers crossed* ;) seriously i think mac's great, but i suspect as a role it might be getting to the end of the road and i think that can't be a bad thing really. but that's just my personal view, i don't know whether it's remotely close to reality!

Gary #7; Baby, You can be my Breakfast

^ i like craig a lot but he needs to learn to stfu sometimes, he was wittering on and on and on. and on. i liked the kangaroo bit too tho :)

    Grade 'To What End?'

here are my thoughts having watched a crappy streamed version, i'll try to watch properly at some point :) liked: the bit between mac & lindsay with the bullets in jelly - it reminded me of mac & lindsay's interactions in s2, y'know, when lindsay was still bearable and had a bit of oomph to...

    What Books Are You Reading?-#3

Re: What Are You Reading?-#3 "the jungle" by upton sinclair. it's about the meat packing industry in chicago in the late 19th cent, very grapes of wrath ish (although it predates it), it's mainly about how the working poor were exploited by industry. it's great but pretty depressing... oh...
