Personally, I don't miss any of the characters that have left and I love the direction the show is going.

I'm not a big Wedges fan but I really like the lab rat episodes. They have a quirkiness to them that I very much enjoy. And since I've attended many a sci-fi convention in my time, I am especially looking forward to this one.

I think that's actually the point. It's not funny, its lame. The fact that the two bubbleheads think its funny is, imo, supposed to show just how ditzy they are.
