I agree. I liked how when NY started, it seemed darker than the others. I thought it meant this show was going to bring something to the CSI franchise that the others couldn't. Then in season 2, they just totally disbanded the whole concept like that.

^ No, I don't mean have some mushy, corny ending with them skipping off together, of course not! CSI isn't that kind of show. It'd still be all about the crime, yet they could just subtly add that bit in without making it "vomit inducing".
