I do like Reese but I think Elias has got to be my favorite character on POI. Rico is just as convincing as the bad guy as he is the cop. And Elias has me seriously wondering what the hell he's up to. :shifty:

Mega Buzz
I love Person of Interest. Will the Stanton Virus wreak havoc on the Machine?

ADAM: Finch pretty much confirmed in the last episode that the virus was most likely behind the Machine's glitchy behavior in recent episodes. But it sounds like the Machine will fight back in the run-up to this year's finale. "What's really interesting about the Machine is whether or not you believe it is an evolving organism," executive producer Greg Plageman says. "What happens when an organism like that comes under attack? The question to ask is: Have we seen all the facets of the Machine and its true power?" Anyone else hoping to see Terminators in Season 3?

Interesting move by CBS. They're moving POI to Tuesday nights at 10pm next season. They've been doing really good in the ratings all season long on Thursdays.

CBS 2013/2014 Schedule

On Tuesdays, CBS makes a key scheduling move at 10:00 PM, creating a powerhouse lineup in which the three top-rated dramas on television now air on the same night. The most-watched series on television, NCIS, returns at 8:00 PM, followed by the #2-rated drama NCIS: LOS ANGELES at 9:00 PM. The #3-rated drama and fastest-growing series, PERSON OF INTEREST, caps the night at 10:00 PM.

Last Season and Looking Forward to Fall

SEASON FINALE: The Machine, hunted by various forces, moved itself to an unknown location in a surprising act of self-awareness and self-preservation. Reese and Shaw saved Finch from cyber-criminal Root, who engaged in a failed attempt to free The Machine from all outside control and was placed in an asylum by the POI team. Meanwhile, Carter compromised her values by helping criminal mastermind Elias escape custody.

NEW SEASON: The POI team faces an uncertain future as they struggle with the next evolution of The Machine, which is now completely self-governed and its whereabouts still unknown. Reese and Finch continue to utilize Shaw’s (new series regular Sarah Shahi) exceptional skill set, but her violent tendencies could end their alliance before it can fully begin. Also, Root (new series regular Amy Acker) remains institutionalized in an asylum, where she seeks to resume her connection with The Machine and marshal her resources for an escape.

Person of Interest Scoop: The Following's Warren Kole Cast as a Real Ladykiller

Warren Kole, luckiest man alive…?

TVLine has learned that the onetime Common Lawman will guest-star on CBS’ Person of Interest as a POI whom Detective Carter (played by Taraji P. Henson), Agent Shaw (new series regular Sarah Shahi) and Zoe Morgan (guest star Paige Turco) each try to catch the eye of — by any dressed-to-kill means necessary.

As previously scooped by TVLine, the trio of fierce femmes are united by a cause when Reese and Finch’s target for the week is revealed to be a ladykiller. Enter Kole, playing “a real lothario,” says exec producer Greg Plageman.

Since Common Law‘s one-and-done run ended, Kole has recurred on The Following and booked a multi-episode role on the coming season of White Collar.

Person of Interest opens Season 3 on Sept. 24, now airing Tuesdays at 10/9c; Kole appears in the third episode.

TV Line Fall TV Spoilers

PREVIOUSLY ON... | Finch led Root (and thus Reese and Shaw) to the Machine, which had been hidden within a nuclear facility, only to realize that the numbers-cruncher had orchestrated its own relocation to parts unknown; Carter went on the lam (and sprung Elias from a prison transfer) after HR threatened her son. As the finale closed, Reese and Finch, Special Counsel's Hersh and Root each got calls from the Machine.

COMING UP NEXT | The physical location of the MIA Machine "is not of paramount importance" as Season 3 gets underway, says exec producer Greg Plageman. Instead, he says you should ask, “What is it up to? What sort of organism is it becoming? And is it expanding beyond the parameters of what even Finch designed?” That said, Hersh's unseen lady boss (who goes by the code name Control and could be revealed by November sweeps) “is very interested in what happened to the Machine, and considers Root (new series regular Amy Acker) instrumental in perhaps finding it.” On the good guys' side, Shaw (Sarah Shahi, also now a series regular) is still “disillusioned” by her government's betrayal and thus “isn't giving her allegiance to anyone right now,” but will “help us out when she feels like it."

TVLINE BONUS SPOILER | Plageman promises “fantastic material” ahead for Taraji P. Henson's compromised Detective Carter, who is now “out there on the wing a bit, trying to figure out her next move.” As she does so, watch for some backstory reveals that explore “what happened in her personal past, and how she wound up where she is today."

RETURN DATE | Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 10/9c (CBS)

Things that happen when they actually film in New York City...

'Person of Interest' Season 3 shut down by cops over gun battle

Filming on the set of "Person of Interest" was shut down by police after the New York Police Department was called by concerned citizens who thought the gun battle they saw about to take place was real. Because the scene in question was not filmed with NYPD supervisors on set like it was supposed to be, the police shut down all outdoor production on the CBS drama.

TMZ was told by witnesses that NYC residents saw people with guns around 47th Street and 5th Avenue and thought they were about to be caught in the middle of a shootout. The site confirmed with the Mayor's Office that the show's permit was revoked. Sources say that the problem occurred when a "scheduling error" caused "Person of Interest" to start filming earlier than planned, and thus the NYPD monitors weren't there when it began.

Fortunately indoor Season 3 scenes were not affected by the outdoor production being shut down. Insiders say filming will resume again any day now. No shots were fired while the police weren't on set.

"Person of Interest" Season 3 is slated to premiere on Sept. 24 at 10 p.m.
