I agree. But I think the dramatic intent of that scene was to show how much the crime lab had changed since Grissom worked there. He was wandering around in a building full of strangers ... except for those few still there who recognized him.

I agree with you on all counts. I thought Ray and DB were both good characters, showing so much promise early on and well played by their respective actors ... but ultimately let down by the writing. The same was true, on a lesser level, for William Petersen's Grissom, who is such a remarkable...

I agree, and I think this was a big problem with this finale. The story was so focused on getting Grissom and Sara back together that it neglected the team chemistry which was like its own character in the series for so many years. I have to wonder if maybe, because the team has changed so much...

For me, the finale was OK, nothing special. I needed a well-crafted case along the lines of what made the series so great in its early years ... and that didn't happen. It basically seemed like an excuse to get Grissom and Sara back together, which IMO puts it at the level of fan fiction. Too...

While most of us would probably agree with you, I doubt she makes the kind of money Paul was. Sadly, I suspect this was a financial decision.

I watched the first episode and was underwhelmed. It all felt very cookie-cutter, by the numbers ... whatever cliche for "predictable" you want to use. I haven't felt compelled to watch subsequent episodes. Such a shame for a franchise of this caliber.
