I agree. But I think the dramatic intent of that scene was to show how much the crime lab had changed since Grissom worked there. He was wandering around in a building full of strangers ... except for those few still there who recognized him.

I agree, and I think this was a big problem with this finale. The story was so focused on getting Grissom and Sara back together that it neglected the team chemistry which was like its own character in the series for so many years. I have to wonder if maybe, because the team has changed so much...

While most of us would probably agree with you, I doubt she makes the kind of money Paul was. Sadly, I suspect this was a financial decision.

I watched the first episode and was underwhelmed. It all felt very cookie-cutter, by the numbers ... whatever cliche for "predictable" you want to use. I haven't felt compelled to watch subsequent episodes. Such a shame for a franchise of this caliber.

I too have given up. It has nothing to do with the timeslot, as we have our DVR set to record it. It's the storylines. Bleh!

I thought Paul was outstanding in this episode, though I agree it wasn't much of a story, and it wasn't the best send-off he could have been given. Still, his scenes were the best, and he handled this situation professionally. I just hope this leaves the door open for future guest appearances...
