Season 10 *Spoiler Lab* Discussion P1

Welcome To Season 10!!! Just like last seasons Spoiler Lab, Smokey & DJRideout ask that you read, remember and respect the following regarding this thread.

This thread is for the discussions, opinions regarding the future "episodes, story-lines and character spoilers as it relates to the current season in the US." This thread has nothing to do with the actor/actresses themselves, ship discussions in general, or past episodes each of these have their own respective threads and or forum. Some comparisons to past eps is fine, as long as it follows the line of your current discussion but don't let it dominate.

We need to keep in mind so that we may maintain a balance in this and future lab threads, where the bickering, arguing and snarky comments are kept to a minimum or out altogether. Telling someone to "not watch the show if they don't like something" that is actually rude, flip side telling someone they cannot discuss a scene that pertains to an ep is also rude.

If a person puts in a valid point as to why they dislike it that is one thing, the "I hate [whatever]" or the "Squee I love [whatever]" only comments, are not valid points, add substance to why you like or dislike it would be more appropriate. (this is also meant for characters, ships, etc) all arguing and uncontrolled fighting does is waste energy and take time away from the discussions, no one thing should dominate this discussion thread other then getting the spoilers and discussing them rationally. Ignoring the baiting and negative commentary is precisely what is expected of those wishing to participate in this thread and Forum. If one cannot do so then a time out and away is probably the best thing all the way around until one is able to do the necessary.

Okay we know the rules were too long before so we have decided to tweak them in such away that it should be easier.

What Should I Know About Spoilers?

Code Boxes:
Not needed! in here this already has the warning in the title and post, any other thread not clearly marked with said warning is where those are used, lightly please alot of people avoid spoilers lets respect that wish if possible.

Episode Names & Major Spoilers:
List the name of the spoiler ep you are giving or just discussing to avoid confusion. Spoilers are subject to changes and should only be considered as a guide to what could be happening in that episode, and not what will happen.
Not everyone wants to know the entire episode, (ie how it may end, ect) while we like to hear what it is about, hints to what might happen, lets not go farther then that, leave some surprises.

Copyrights, Sites, Vids & Pics:
Posting a spoiler word for word (or lines as well) is not allowed, we ask that you put it in a short summery of you're own words.
Exception comes only if its not one of the sites listed just below, and you post the short descript of the ep, with a link to the rest (example: short descript of show, link to cast list) for people to see. If you are unsure if you can link contact Smokey or DJRideout for help.
-Some places preferre that you not link to them for the spoilers and some places like 'sides' & 'SpoilerTv' that you are not allowed to mention or link to (for sides or casting, allowed are plotlines, and Pictures in its thread) please be mindful of this. If asked to cite you're source contact Smokey or DJRideout for help. Copyright violations will be edited and or removed.
-Be mindful of the 'Video' rules located in the "Help Guide" on what places are allowed by this site.
-Pictures: There is already a thread for future episodes please contain all pictures to that thread.

Shipper/ships discussions:
The only time any ship discussion is allowed in here is when it pertains to said ep, ship or scene, should the ep not contain a ship moment then it does not belong in this thread or forum, but rather in the "Shipper Central" forum.

What should I know about this thread in General?

Stay On Topic:
As it says there try to stay on topic of this thread, veering off happens and that is fine as long as it doesn't go overboard, if it does we will let you know.

Opinions & Arguments:
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and to disagree with the opinions, your not entitled to attack someone for having the opinion, this is NOT a debate thread for which you can argue about things.
Sometimes opinions might rile some which can lead to arguments to uncontrolled debates or outright flaming.
The best thing to do is to take a deep breath, calm down, back away and agree to disagree and let it go, you really are not getting anywhere so why continue all that will get you is a gentle reminder or an official warning.
Be mindful that if you are not involved in any argument don't jump in it only makes it worse, contact Smokey or DJRideout via PM or click the NM (Notify Mod) Button.

EP Threads:
IF there is already a discussion thread up for an ep (by your moderators), please discuss that ep in that thread, as this is for Future eps, not yet aired. -- This is for LV Only! Any Spoilers for Miami, and New york belong in their respective forums and not in here if they are found in here they will be removed.

Lastly About the Mods:
Smokey and DJRideout are asking for your cooperation in all this, we are not out to scare people or ruin the fun, we like fun, but at the same time we are trying to keep the balance, atmosphere and rules of the board intact and the thread inviting, like a comfy home.
There will be some problems we know it, but if we come in in "Mod mode" we would appreciate not being ignored or having attitudes copped. You also know that if you need to you can always PM us and we will try to help you. ;)

-Please remember, we reserve the right to update/change any of the above, remember the board rules, and reminders. Have fun.

I'm both frusturated and a little excited at the same time about the new season. Is that weird?

No, I know what you mean. The spoilers that come out, I start to get excited for the season and everything that comes up, and then I hear some crazy spoilers, usually something where TPTB starts talking about how they view things for the season, and I want to headdesk.

Not to bash TPTB, but I think that they have a VERY different idea about the Upcoming season, and the direction the show is taking than many of the average fans.

However, I am excited for the season. It seems like the season is going to be interesting, and I'm curious to see how they do things.

I'm curious to know more about Langston, just please let the other team members shine more. They've been there longer, and Langston is only a CSI 1.

I'm curious as to how Sara is going to fit into the team dynamic coming back. I would like to hear something about her status with Grissom, just please don't cram it down our throats.

No more Romances/Unhappy marriages. We did that with Catherine and Eddie, as well as Warrick and Tina. I don't believe we've seen a truly happy relationship where there's open, honest communication.

I know I heard that they're planning to introduce Langston's wife as a recurring character, and they're going to be estranged/having problems. Honestly, I hope not. Even if they have problems, I hope that they are able to work through their problems and stay together in a healthy way. That would actually be a nice change of pace for the show.

As far as the other characters, I wouldn't mind them having love interests, I just don't want that to be the focus of the show.

Hey guys. I asked Ausiello about Louise's return, and this is the answer:

Question: A Canadian paper reported recently that Louise Lombard is set to return to CSI this season. Is this correct? —Anne
Ausiello: It most certainly is not. A CSI insider says it “hasn’t been discussed.”

I'm not happy, but at least we know for sure now.

I'm with ya two. Here's my thinking on the Langston being separated from his wife, he confides in Nick thing. We have another serial killer, so it could stand to reason, that by the end of the season Langston and his wife could be back together. Why? Well, that's obvious, she'll be the 'final' victim of the serial killer, but they rescue her before she's killed, or she's dying but the save in her time, etc. and Langston and her realize that they truly love each other and get back together.

I'm telling ya, I wouldn't be surprise if that is what tptb have in store.

I agree that someone deserves to have a happy relationship, I mean there are happy couples who love each other out there, albeit only a few, but there out there.

If this April person turns out to be Nick's girlfriend, let's at least let him have a good relationship where there isn't any angst or anything. Geesh. Let someone be happy. If not Nick, then Greg, Catherine, someone! :wtf:

If this is true than I'm going to cry. :(

Yet, I've been waiting for someone to come along and burst my bubble. I'm still hoping she's going to turn up, but I've always had me reservations.

Damn.

Really? Double damn . I was very excited thinking Lombard is coming.:shifty: She would be a really nice comfort after learning Riley's leaving. :(

Aww man! They really need to start discussing a possible return for her then. Get on it, people! She needs to return. We need that Hunter/McCall thing on the show. That's what her and Brass are.

That is a bummer that Louise is not coming back. :(

Greg is still dealing with the fact that when you start out as somebody's assistant, there's still a tendency for people to treat him like he's just the DNA guy with the goofy hair.

Well the way I interpret this is maybe it is because Greg has never really had a true solo case yet. He is in a way always someone's assistant on a case. Wasn't it Nick who had the same situation at first when CSI started. He wanted to work solo? (Or was it Sara?) I can see that being maybe what they mean. Who can blame him for getting upset too when the new guy (Ray) has already been lead/solo on a few cases and he has not even been there a year. I just hope they do not make Greg's reactions too OOC.

That makes sense, though I never thought of him as an assistant... just sometimes a case takes more than one CSI cause you need more than one pair of hands. And yeah, I think it was Nick because he went to Grissom about it and then Grissom asked him what a cow drinks and Nick said milk and Grissom said he wasn't ready to work solo because he gave the wrong answer. Which totally didn't make sense to me. Why do you need to know what cows drink to be able to work solo? It would have been funnier if when Grissom asked that question, Nick came back with "what age cow are we talking here? because baby cows drink milk". I would have loved to have seen Grissom's expression after that.

I still think the best way to go about this is to have Greg say something to Sara about feeling underappreciated or left out and her relaying that to Catherine, but in a way that it doesn't sound like that Greg actually said anything to her.... just that it's a feeling she gets. And then Catherine doing something to rectify the situation.

It's starting to sound more and more like his new job may be as Lead CSI. :)

Well that test for Nick was a thinking test really. If he really had thought about it he would have said Water and not Milk. He was jumping to conclusions and I think that was what Grissom was trying to teach him.

I personally rather see Greg go to Catherine directly and talk to her about it. They've always had a very comfortable relationship and I do not think he would feel that he could not say something like that to her.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Thanks. I didn't even think of it that way. :)

It might work. It could in a way parallel the Nick/Grissom dicussion. I just hope Cath doesn't give Greg some kind of silly word test like Grissom did Nick though. I guess it could be a way to compare the differences between Grissom as supervisor and Cath as supervisor. I wouldn't actually mind Greg saying something to Nick about it though, but that may just be because I want to see more scenes with the two of them in the same room at the same time.

Well I do not think Catherine would give the same kind of test that Grissom would. They have two different styles of leadership. Catherine was one of the few in Season 4 to actually assist Greg in getting field training. I think she would be able to see how far he has come along since then and respect his wishes.
