You know you have a point!!!

It maybe Season 14 but according to the Episode guide:

    #0102 Cool Change 10/13/00

    #1405 Frame by Frame 10/23/13

(Skip the Pilot as Sara was not in it and Grissom wasn't supervisor.)

I guess time does indeed travel faster in TV land. :p

Maybe they were just superstitious and didn't want to use the number 13? Could they really be that unscientific on a forensic show?? ??

Or are we missing something? Anyone?

Just for the heck of it I watched it.

It was okay but I have to admit, I can't believe that girl swallowed that roll of film. That sucker looked thicker than the Dayquil gel pills.

    I gag on those.

Didn't care for it but did like some of the scenes with Hodges and Greg?

    Really really liked it.

I'll get the bad out of the way. The '14 years' mentions were frustrating. I appreciate the fact that continuity errors are inevitable (in the past I've seen many instances where dates on photos/databases don't conform to each other) but the fact that it was repeated throughout despite the fact that the date was clearly said to be 2000 annoyed me on how big an oversight it was. Doc's "you're an all-star" line was terrible as well. The flashbacks didn't particularly have a huge effect on me, everything they showed was pretty much something they'd already showed. It was nice to see Marg/Catherine again though, I expect she could only negotiate a single day of filming due to her contract with Intelligence so I wasn't surprised she wasn't on for a long time.

Other than that, I thought it was mostly great. Case was solid, grounded and unpredictable. What I was most relieved about was the fact that they didn't got too overboard about making it EXTRA-EXTRA special. #100, although a well-made and powerful episode still relied a bit on the shock factor to make it stand out, whereas 200, I don't know what they were trying to do with that one but it didn't work. Loved Greg, Sara and Ecklie's screen time but could have done with a bit more Brass.

The scene with Henry and Hodges was absolutely hilarious. First time I've laughed out loud on the show for a while. The Greg and Sara moment at the end was wonderful as well and really captured the friendship between both the characters and the actors as well. I really did miss Nick in this one though and it would have been great to see the three veterans play off each other. The montage at the end I thought was really nice though I wish it had been a little longer but I did notice their particular focus on Warrick, Grissom and Nick.

As for the Easter Eggs, I think I got about 7 of the '300's on my first viewing. I also noticed the movie posters named after past episodes and I thought the opening shot through the casino model was reminiscent of the opening of "Built to Kill: Part 2" I think it was (it was one of the MK episodes), even the blunt force trauma victims were positioned in a similar way. I don't usually go back on episodes and nit-pick but given that there's supposedly a lot of references to old cases I'll have a detail-oriented viewing at the weekend.

Was it the best episode the show has produced? No. Was it what I wanted in the milestone episode? Hell yes, it was charming, down to earth and I felt like the writer made a real effort to attempt to capture the essence of the 'golden years', it's just a shame that behind the scenes troubles put a bit of a shadow over the event.

    A-

I have to say I'm really liking this season more than last year's thus far. I could see the approach they wanted to do in Season 13 with more of a focus on the personal lives of characters but the fact that almost every episode involved a personal connection made it a very clunky execution overall. The uneven premiere may have been clean-up from the mess at the end of last season but I feel the cases and overall feel of the show is stronger this season. Of course we still have "Girls Gone Wild" coming up which I'm fully expecting to be a disaster so I shouldn't get my hopes up too much.

    I give a C to a B

    Miles better than Mascara

Lots of Sara and Greg. Glad to see those two getting some time together, they haven't had much for quite awhile

    The headdress, ah, memories

Wish it had more Brass, or a memorable snarky comment that fans always love

Didn't like the "all star" comment either

Still no explanation on Nick, hopefully they can approach it when he returns

    Hodges and Henry!

Okay technically it would have been 13 year instead 14, I suppose they rounded up, or they counted by seasons but anyway I'll let it slide

Disappointed that Catherine wasn't there for real, or at least appearing at the end, even if over the phone, skype, or something along those lines

It's from "Who's Next" album. Written about Mehair Baba, who Pete Townsend considered a spiritual advisor. The lyrics are especially appropriate for both sides of this story (Ecklie vs. Jason Priestly):

"I'd gladly lose me to find you
I'd gladly give up all I got
To catch you I'm gonna run and never stop
I'd pay any price just to win you
Surrender my good life for bad
To find you I'm gonna drown an unsung man"

Does anyone know the song played when Greg was first examining the secret room?

I enjoyed the episode. I didn't even really think about the years error because it is silly to nitpick about something like that. The case was interesting and different.

I still wish they could have somehow incorporated real flashbacks and not done fake ones but I will let it slide. I did like the clips at the end of some of the old episodes/evidence. And I loved the end scene between Sara and Greg. I've always loved their friendship. The headdress!:) Nice to see they aren't constantly teaming the same people together this season. It was nice to see Finn and Greg working too in the same scene and not Finn and DB all the time.

And I admit to starting to like Finn. I think they have really toned her down and made her more likable.

Henry's scene with the filming was hysterical! Loved it!

the years error is a matter of accuracy.
the useless flashback were really flashy. all those glows, and blurs. horrible. some sparkles, harp chords and slow motion (and "THIS IS A FLASHBACK!!!" written on the lower third) would have been appreciated...
the "oh, the gold old times!" Finale was good; but it looks like the closing of an era.

I liked this episode. Didn't even clue in to the year error, but I also don't tend to remember things like that unless I'm really concentrating on them. Loved the final scene with Sara and Greg. This was certainly better than the 200th episode, IMO ... so at least things are looking up in that way.

Men is simple, like is the 14 season the writers thing that like is the 14 season the case can have 14 years, because CSI have 14 years? but that is bad, because we are like 2 and half month before is the 2014 so... That explains all the bad things that are happens the bad plots all that this is only one example of the bad things that are happen the low level of the writting!

OK, so aside from the year error, and the fact that they made no effort to make the actors look like their season 1 selves (Catherine's hair was way too long and not layered/flicky enough, it would never have gone up in a ponytail like that, Sara's parting was all wrong, and Greg should have been more playful and spiky haired) - there is one thing that really pissed me off about this episode! When releasing information about this episode they outright LIED to us!! Leading me to get my hopes up for nothing! Here are some episode releases that I read before the episode aired:

    CSIFiles
    IMDB
    UK E-Online
    CBS
I could go on and on and on... but they ALL say exactly the same thing. And they ALL LIED! Catherine did NOT return to help the CSIs solve a cold case - yet that's EXACTLY what we were led to believe, and EXACTLY WHY I was looking forward to this episode - and why I feel massively let down.

A romantic wedding for a girl is important in her life time. There are beautiful dresses, dreaming occasion and necessary fascinating bride hair styles. Some girls may choose to wear the high quality human hair wigs such as glamorous wigs curly and fashionable black wig. They can save much time and make changeable hair styles.
