Grr I'm sick of Sara not answering the phone. I know it's awkward not having Billy to be on the other end but they could make do like every other show in history. I still don't like that storyline.

Edit: OK, she finally did answer him, and at least we got a Billy voice cameo. I guess they like to keep the storyline in everyone's mind even when we aren't focused on it.

I thought for a while that the eventually revealed killer was the Mayor from Buffy, but it wasn't, looks like him though.

GSR angst aside, I enjoyed this episode. 'Drive-by pither.' I hated my frog-pithing days in biology lab. Do they still do that?

Loved the DB/Sara scenes. I like that there is no UST between them. DB/Ted is great as her boss and fellow married co-worker. Loved the Doc/Sara scenes as well.

I thought the guest cast was great, especially Denny/Lenny and Paulsen/Roebuck. And I liked Morgan's scenes with Denny.

It was wonderful hearing Grissom's voice, but I'm still depressed about the LDR angst between Sara and Grissom. IDK, it just seems like it could be so easily resolved by bringing him home once in a while. I certainly hope the writers will choose to do that eventually. Breaking them up would ruin the show for me.

Will give this one an 8.5/10. Mostly for lots of Sara, and at least hearing Grissom's voice. :)

ETA: I forgot about Shane's CSI debut. So an 8.6. :)

I didn't have to dissect a frog in bio in hs, but my friend had to dissect a cat in college anatomy lab :p

I agree with everything you said! Loved the case and guest actors as well. Great scenes between Sara/DB/Doc. I would've liked a little more Nick and Greg though.

Regarding GSR, I'm sick of the angst. After all they went through, for it to come down to a divorce would be ludicrous. Though it was nice to see a vulnerable Sara (it's been awhile) and she did have another nice scene with Jules, something needs to be resolved during that last scene. She looked extremely depressed :/

Looking forward to meeting Hodges' fiancée...

An okay episode, though, the case kinda reminds me of Happenstance, where the career twin got killed over a story. I'm not really sure how the murder went since I haven't watched it in ages. And her kitchen in this episode kinda looks like the kitchen with the "balut" in Go To Hell. And I keep seeing this woman on other episodes. Perhaps, she must have been Evan Rachel's mom on an earlier episode, and could be the actress from the CSI:NY episode Summer In The City.

What was wrong with Denny, anyways? It's shameful that those stupid reporters would rather cover Denny's fall over calling for some flipping help. Since I don't really care much about watching the News, if anchor people should nowadays resort to looking like porn stars, I consider myself lucky that I don't watch the morning PG version of porn. The victim's cheek implant harvesting scene freaks me out.

I like that Sara gets alot of camera time on this one. I'd wish she'd just answer her darned phone. It's great hearing Grissom's voice at the end. Hopefully, they don't mess with a great thing like GSR.

    A 7.9 for me.

I was so happy to hear Billy's voice at the end. I agree with you all, she should have picked up the damn phone sooner, but still, picking up the phone eventually is a start! I didn't used to like Finn very much, but she's warming up on me, the same with DB, especially as without his pep-talk she probably would have rejected the call again.

I can't wait to see what the producers are going to do with this storyline, I hope like you all do that they see how much Sara and Griss have been through and give them a little happiness. There is only so much of depressed Sara that I can take! :)

All in all, due to the Sara-ness of the episode, a 7.5/10 for me :)

Pretty dull episode I've got to say.

I liked how this was more of a case-focused episode than most this season, but there were lots of elements which didn't work. The case felt pretty convoluted yet at the same time it felt wholly predictable and ended up being a "last person you'd ever expect" deal. The "Denny-suicide" in particular felt tacked on for no reason but a change of pace.

I did however like the "capture the flag" reenactment at the end of the episode even if Greg, Finn and Morgan reaching the room at EXACTLY the same time felt completely contrived. It was nice seeing Vartann again, even if I can't remember what role he exactly played in the episode.

The thing which brought the episode down the most was the GSR-angst, which I tolerated and even appreciated in "Risky Business Class". In this episode however, it felt particularly out of place, neither bringing anything new to the picture nor actually achieving anything. I felt like it was just there to remind the audience every five minutes that Sara's unhappy with her marriage.

A rather disappointing start to 2013 for me, I appreciate the insight into Sara's character and the focus on developing the characters more but I felt in this episode the sub-plot added nothing to what has already been shown.

It was okay, but again I knew who the killer was right from the start

I don't know, to be honest I'm just bored with the show. The twists are lacking and I think we need a major shake up. Maybe even more than one.

I know, be careful what you wish for...

Okay, to be honest I kinda like the GSR angst. Sara is tired of living apart, makes sense, don't blame her. While Grissom, maybe he's fine with the way things are, but he doesn't see or get that Sara's unhappy. Maybe she hasn't really talked to him about it. Maybe there's something deeper going one here. Now I do have a whole other theory on what it could be, but I'm gonna keep it to myself

Loved the recreating of the crime with the flag at the end

Same here. It's pretty sad when I don't even watch it until three days later, and then I fast forward to the end to see who the killer was instead of watching all the way through.

To be honest, besides the Nick bits the only thing that piqued my interest was seeing Shane!

Let the producers know on Twitter. ;) There's some small talk of me coming back in a bigger capacity somewhere down the line. They originally had me audition for the "director" and Chad, but bigger names prevailed. And 2nd highest rating of the season? C'mon, there's a reason for that. :p
