Though CSI: Crime Scene Investigation*has featured a bevy of rotating detectives throughout its twelve season run, one name certainly sticks out amongst the rest: Detective Vartann.*Alex Carter*plays one of Las Vegas’ finest detectives–in more ways than one, some will argue–but also gets the very high honor of playing a member of law enforcement who shares [...]

    Thanks Shane, nice interview :)

Some interesting stuff, didn't know who created him or where he got his name

And I'm glad you brought up the name change, I wish they kept Tony

I'd never heard that before about the origin of the character's name, but I had a feeling it was for Michael Vartann. That's what I always thought of when I heard the name LOL. Of course now all I think of is Det. Vartann. LOL.

Another interesting interview, Shane - thanks for sharing! :D

Alex sounds like a great guy. I'm glad they're bringing him back, what with Catherine leaving and all. (It would suck if they'd dropped the whole relationship like it never happened.) I'm curious to see what happens in the next few episodes. It should be interesting!

I didn't even remember that his name used to be Tony.

You know you made me a happy Alex-fan. :D

Great interview. He does sound like a great guy, very mellow and down to earth.

I laughed at the part where he said he didn't know who Anthony Zuiker was. And that Anthony was his namesake on the show (for a while anyway) ;)

I always assumed he had no first name. Didn't know about Tony until I found out his new name of "Lou". Tony is better though; should've kept that one.
