The Last Movie You Saw - Thread 4

The King's Speech- eh i felt the movie was alright. Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helena Bonham Carter were incredible.

Beetlejuice- this is one of my childhood movies. i hadn't seen it in literally years before last week and when i watched it i teared up because i remember having so much fun watching it when i was little.

Yes Man - Decent movie. Not sure I'd watch it a second time, but it was decent.

Moving Violations - I know this is an older movie (1985 I think), but I had never seen it until this weekend. It's a pretty funny movie. It has one of Bill Murray's brothers in it (John Murrary, whom I'm not sure has ever been in anything else).

The Switch - Pretty good movie, although predictable as most of these types of movies are.

You Stupid Man - This was an okay movie. I wouldn't watch it a second time, but it was worth one viewing. The main character will probably make most people want to throw something at the tv because he's just well, a stupid man LOL.

'21". I had seen this movie back in 2008, and it was so good I ordered it from AMAZON, good prices~ It's about 6 MIT students from Boston who go to Vegas to rip off the casinos, and their teacher/mentor is Kevin Spacey [Mickey], he's fantastic. He tells them "we're not here to gamble, we're here to "count cards" and so they do, and win mega bucks. Lauerence Fishburne [Cole], he's got a Boston accent, and is so good in this role such a beliveable actor, in whatever role he's given, is the eye-in-the-sky security guy who watches them and realizes something's not right. All the kids are great as well. It's nerve wracking and lots of tension, between the kids and the ones who watch this:bolian:

Swamp Shark - For a Syfy channel movie, it actually wasn't too bad.
Some parts I loved were when Kristy Swanson's character and her boyfriend had a fight cause he was jealous of her spending time with another guy (even though the boyfriend had been flirting with every girl that came into their restaurant). He told her "you know I can have any girl I want, right?" She laughed at him and walked over to the other guy and kissed him LOL. They were going to kill the shark by throwing a metal gas bottle into its mouth and shooting it (something similar was done in one of the Jaws movies), but the shark spit it out, so they had to come up with a new way to get rid of the shark. The way they did it was kind of different. I kind of liked that aspect of it. It wasn't something I'd ever seen in a shark movie before.

Transformers-Rise of the Fallen. I know this movie was supposed to be an action but the robots attitude, i found was hilarius. Good movie, Little rushed, and even though it has a serious story line there is some definite hilarity in there.

I just saw I Am Number Four, pretty good, hope they do a sequel, kinda reminds me of a Twilight but not in a bad way

The guy that played John was HOT!

Did you see the 3D version? I'm wondering if its worth spending the extra buck for lol. I paid the extra buck for Avatar in 3D and found that I should have watched it in 2D lol. Don't want to make that mistake again. Seems like every movie now is in 3D.

Rise of the Fallen is the second film (which wasn't in 3D).

We're planning to go see Transformers 3 tomorrow so we're reviewing and watching Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen- alright movie, could have been better, love the song New Divide by Linkin Park, also love the scenes with Sam's parents

Call me slow but the last movie I watched Taxi Driver last night. I wasn't sure what I was going to expect out of it, but I do believe that Robert De Niro's performance was excellent. The ending was a bit odd for my tastes, but apparently a lot of people hold this film in such a high slot on lists I guess others don't feel that way.

Didn't like Transformers 3 that much, I don't care for the new girl, the plot had holes, I felt the big battle at the end dragged on forever maybe that's cause I wasn't feeling it, but special effects were good and there were some good twists

ETA: Also Alan Tudyk was in it, he was in CSI ep Burn Out and played the pedophile- it was kinda wierd
