You know what's cool a swap in leaders. Can you imagine the following:
    • Horatio Caine running the crime lab of Las Vegas or New York?
    • Catherine Willows running the lab of Miami or New York?
    • Mac Taylor running the lab of Miami or Las Vegas?
I'll be looking forward to seeing such (temporarily) change.

I can imagine Mac Taylor with Miami 'cause he and H have some things in common - sun glasses, cheesy lines etc., though H is the best with those things!

I can't imagine H in Las Vegas 'cause he can't use his glasses in there especially at night! He's good with NY and Stella.

I think Catherine is good with Miami. She has this appeal - maybe because being a former show girl - that will complement the hot and glamorous Miami.

Horatio anywhere but Miami would really not fit in my mind, but if he was going to go to another lab, I think NY would suit him the best. He IS from there.

I have to agree with Geeno, I think Catherine could work in Miami. I could so see her kind of being like Megan, but, you know, Catherine...

Mac just screams New York to me. I really can't see him working anywhere else.

^ I agree .Mac is a new yorker. He is dark enough for Vegas but I can not imagine him on Miami.

Catherine is sophisticated enough for NY and would be awesome in Miami as well.

I have to think about Horatio.

Exactly my thoughts. I have to add I could see Grissom in Miami too -- maybe out in the glades inspecting bugs/wildlife with his funny little hat on :p

I think that Stella fits in Miami too.

    These are interesting proposals....
Stella's leaving New York:(, and she's going to Miami:cool:. If this happens, this will be a great surprise.

Since he's no CSI anymore, he can't lead the crimelab in Miami.:( It would be interesting if CSI Miami is doing a case, which involves insects, and Grissom's invited as a specialist to help with that investigation.

I do enjoy the crossover shows. Usually the interaction is a bit light. I'd like to see the lab chiefs get to know some of the other characters. Willows would fit in anywhere. I don't think Mac could fit in anywhere other than NYC, but Horatio could probably make it in NY also.

In addition, I've also enjoyed some of the plots where the CSIs are on "neutral" ground: Mac pursued someone back to Chicago, Both Horatio and Grissom went to L.A., and I believe Horatio was once in a southern Georgia prison, though most of the photography was inside.

To me it's a change of direction for the series. This should be effective if once a while the following will happen:
I'd say Caine running the lab of Las Vegas, Taylor running the Miami Lab and Langstrom (since Catherine gonna leave) leading the crime lab in NY.

With the exception of a short appearance in CSI: Miami, Mac never appeared out of CSI: NY. I believe you will reconsider, once he's travelling around through the series CSI: Miami and CSI: Las Vegas, or making a longer guest appearance in one those series.
