Thanks for the info! I've noticed that the scene with Eric and Horatio shows Eric with hair and the scene with a new co-worker show Eric with the usual "almost bald" hair. I surmise that there must be some flashback scenes in this episode.

They might be using footages from old episodes or as others said - it might be a mix up.

Definitely old episodes. Anyone have anything on Episode 13?

From what I've been able to make out so far is that it revolves around a Japanese Mob leader, Hiroshi, and his biological son, Kenny; Kenny's adoptive father is the victim in the case.
(The character Hiroshi is noted in an additional casting call to be a possible recurring guest star -- could be a 2-parter, or we'll visit the mob later)

Also, Natalia's hearing loss will be addressed -- she visits a hearing specialist who tells her her hearing loss could be from a pre-existing condition and not temporary from the explosion.

    Thought on the mob stuff:
I really hope this isn't a set-up for another full-throttle mob story that leaks into the rest of the season -- I've had enough of that.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm sick of all the mob/gang stuff. We had the Crypt Kings, the Mala Noche, the Russian mafia and now this?

The only positive thing I can say about it is that the character (from the way he is described) sounds more like true mob-style than those other gang leaders we've seen in the past. Still far too repetitive for my taste though.

Another mob story? This is just downright insulting. I don't want to bash anyone but the writers are either clueless about what the audience wants or they're being lazy. I know they can do better than this. What happened to original storylines? When was the last time we saw one? What about some sort of psycopath killer story arc? We haven't seen one of those yet.

Sounds like a retread of CSI and Grissom.

I completely agree; it is another sign of no imagination and originality by this writing staff (again, if they can't come up with anything new, maybe the writing staff needs an overhaul). I like the idea of a psycopath serial killer.

Of course, if a mob is involved it could give Ryan a story arc:rolleyes:. Maybe he could be kidnapped and forced to let all the air out of the tires of the CSI hummers and tp the lab:rolleyes::lol:

CSI: Miami - Episode 8.14 - In the Wind

When doubt is cast on his murder conviction, a man receives a 24 hour stay of execution -- very little time for Horatio and the team to reaffirm his guilt -- or establish his innocence...

Sounds like something out of Criminal Minds...

Sounds like an episode of CSI Miami I've seen before... "Whacked" with Eric Roberts back in 2005. Need some new material....fast!

CSI: miami isn't really famous for its original plots. :shifty:
It feels like déjà vu every week.

That's exactly what I was thinking of. I'm sort of hoping they'll put a different spin on it and the fact that we have new characters may add a fresh dynamic to the idea but it wouldn't kill them to read some fic prompts or something.

I have to say though, so far, this season has had some pretty good storylines (at least from where I'm sitting) so I'm still cautiously optimistic about the rest of the season.

Even if it sounds like a previous episode,or an episode from another show, perhaps a new spin will be put on it.It still sounds as if it could be an interesting episode and it will also involve new/different characters.

Did you all see the promo for "Count Me Out" last night? It actually looks really interesting so hopefully we won't be disappointed.
