SouthLAnd

Good news indeed! A partial season is better than none.

Now, if TNT would rescue Detroit 1-8-7, I would be doubly grateful. :)

I know...I hate the a "season" is so short for them. :( I also hate that you pretty much have to wait a year for the next one to start. But...it's better than nothing! :)

It's back!!!
Season 4 premieres tonight. Lucy Liu joins the cast as Cooper's new partner; Ben and Sammy are a team; and Lydia has a new partner.

Lydia can't seem to keep a partner, unfortunately. First partner got shot, then later on screwed her over where she almost lost her job; temporary partner after him; then the lady who has the son who is also a cop that Lydia was seeing. She found out and was not happy. Plus, she was annoying. Glad she's gone, but is Lydia still seeing her son? Hope this new partner works for her. She needs someone that's stable. :)

SouthLAnd rocks. Will be great to see Lucy Liu on this show! :)

A GREAT premiere last night! Lots of action and tension. I like Lucy Liu's character (her worrying about the food truck was funny while the guy was trying to kill himself), and Regina King was awesome as usual.

Best line of the series: 'It'll take Jesus and two more white bodies to keep me from kicking your ***!', or something to that effect.

The episode was fantastic! I loved that lady telling her son off. Too good. I love Lucy Liu's character. She is a great addition to the show. I loved her with the food truck thing. The shootout in the police station was a big surprise. I love this show.

OMG it's great to see Southland back!

New episode tonight! :D Although I DVR it and usually don't get to see it until the weekend.

The season premier did not disappoint. One of the things I love about the show is how realistic it is (or seem to me). I like seeing the contrast between Ben and some of the more seasoned officers...their different perspectives and reactions to situations, and you can really feel how he's wondering if that's how he'll end up or if he wants to end up that way or if he can do something to keep from ending up that way. Really good!

Another great episode this week.
Did anyone else here think of CSI's 'Anatomy of a Lye' with the woman caught in the wheel well of the car? (It was a man in the windshield on CSI.) That was a pretty shocking sight!
Still lovin' Lucy Liu's character: some weird shit going on here.

I'm so happy this show is back.

How can anyone not love Cooper after last night's episode? And I just love him and Tang together. I wish Lucy Liu was listed as a regular; it makes me nervous that she's not.
Cooper trying to help the gay teen was very poignant, and ultimately very sad.

Quote of the night:

Cooper to the crazy woman: "Jesus Christ is your son? .....You must be very proud."

Also, loved the pranks between Sammy and Ben. :)

Another stellar episode.
Even Dewey was tolerable.

ETA: Another highlight-Sammy in the buff=mighty fine. :)
