Well, with the news that Kankaredes is not returning to NY, as she opted not to renew her contract, I'm getting more convinced that George is not returning either. :(

They probably were not going to pay her more or take a pay cut.

As if I wasn't worried before, I'm really worried now.

CBS is crazy. They are lucky Melina wasn't asking for a raise and now they are asking her for a pay cut! How greedy are they! Now I wonder how things would go with George. This news is not a good start.

I know, MK leaving makes me worry about George, Wally, and anyone else they haven't told us about

Why would they be taking so long to tell us about the others :confused: and when the heck are they going to tell us about the 'new creative direction'

PLEASE CBS JUST SPIT IT OUT ALREADY
WHO IS STAYING, WHO IS NOT, AND WHAT IS THE NEW CREATIVE DIRECTION!!!!

Divine Ms. M did an interview over at Movieplayer.it, and she said a few interesting/spoilery things...

Can you give us some clues on season 11?
Marg Helgenberger: I still can not tell you anything, but I can say that next season there will be guest stars that the viewers will find very interesting. There is also a comeback in the production team: Anthony E. Zuiker, the creator of the original show is back as a writer. I was very happy with the news because I think he has a very particular mind, so I think the season will start with a big bang!

And William Petersen? Is a comeback possible at all?
Marg Helgenberger: At the moment, Petersen is working on the series as executive producer, often visits the set, talks to the producers… Grissom, his character, has changed… Sure, I’d like him to come back. The door is always open for everyone, especially for him, but I do not see him coming back…he may guest star in some episodes.

Will your character, Catherine Willows, change in the new season?
Marg Helgenberger: There will be no drastic changes, but there will be a positive evolution of the character. Catherine, in addition to being an expert in science, is the daughter of the owner of a casino, and her father, who died, will return in flashbacks. I would say that there is a return to the roots, the origins of my character.

Okay, let me just say that the idea of Sam Braun returning, even in flashbacks, makes me SQUEEEEEEEEEE. I loved the relationship between Catherine and Sam, and I can't wait to see more.

As for Billy returning, I'll believe it when I see it, honestly. I'm really interested in hearing more about Cath/Vartann, to be honest.

It's a nice little interview, check it our over at Margamania.

I read that too. I like how it mentioned her return to the roots of the character.
Sam could come back in a flashback. Same with Lily and even Lindsey.

when are they going to tell us if George, Paul, Jorja, and Wally are returning

I'm kinda excited to see Zuiker back on the original

'a big bang' to start off the season... don't tell the lab explodes (again) and that is what happens to Wendy (dies in explosion) it would beat the way they wrote off Louise I suppose, but I won't be happy about it, plus I'll probably cry

I know WP will not come back permantly, I've learned to accept that, do I want to see him guest star some time this season, of course, I had hoped for the end of s10, now I'm hoping for the end of s11, cause I doubt we'll see him in the premiere, but it can't hurt to stay positive

I can't wait to see little pieces of Vartllows, and yeah we haven't seen much of Cath's family in awhile, so I'm also looking forward to seeing flashbacks of Sam, and Lindsey and Lily

hmmz... I really think that would create a huge flood of discontended fans.. but then again I don't know the way of thinking in the higher regions of CBS..

maybe the "not returners" should create a tv show for themselves... I think Liz Vassey and Melina Kankaredes would make an excellent team in whatever context...:)

I love Eric Szmanda, and I'm glad he's back, but I don't know how I could watch the show without George Eads! They're both my favorites, and I couldn't stand to see one without the other. I know I'm not alone in that... CBS needs to be careful. I'm going to have a hard enough time watching NY without Melinda....

I really wish we'd hear more about Paul and George sooner rather than later.... I'm anxiously awaiting anything with you guys. :(

I can't lie, I'm nervous. For everyone. On all three shows. Melina's exit without warning or even a closing story line is.... extremely shocking. AND makes me realize anything can and will happen....

I read on another site earlier today that it was confirmed last week that Jorja would be returning to the show. Now this was just a fan saying this, there wasn't a link to an article or anything, so I don't know how accurate it is, but I just thought I'd mention it. Can anyone confirm this?

GNRF I heard that too, but so far no news from any of Jorja's peeps, to my knowledge, and I still think George is a go, due to the fact that his past statements are so "why does anyone leave CSI"? I don't get why these bullentins are dribbling in one by one. Why can't TPTB, just issue a news report saying 'They've all signed on" :bolian:

Why are they waiting for? I need to know if George, Paul and Jorja stick with the CSI for 11th season. Come on, George, sign up with the show.

They're probably still negotiating contracts. I wouldn't be surprised if Jorja's announcement takes a little bit longer because of her being a special guest star but I don't know about Paul/George. I'm sure they'll be back though. Why wouldn't they come back?

given the recent CSI NY news, it would not surprise me if someone unexpected exits.
