It looks like (from the promo) that Penelope will take care of business. Nothing to worry about; fingers crossed! ;)

I'll admit that the promo had me worried! Thank God they didn't make us wait until next season for this episode.

That episode had commercial placement that every TV show would give their life for and every fan would murder because of. :klingon:

I'm good with the outcome as long as Reid, Morgan, JJ, Hotch, & Rossi are OK. :)

Morgan's wounds not being serious & continuing the chase -

Reid waking up after surgery -

Garcia doing what she had to do to protect her team -

So I'm confused...is that the end for Alex Blake or is her status still up in the air pending the outcome of contract negotiations?

The way it came across was that they set up that ending in such a way that if Jeanne Tripplehorn doesn't come back they won't need to have her come back for a "goodbye" episode, but still vague enough that she can still return next season without a complicated explanation.

I hope that Blake is gone. I thought the character was boring, and lacked personality. If she is gone, I hope the bring back Emily.

I'm pretty sure Tripplehorn is gone. Apparently the studio still refuses to pay fair wages to actresses.

As far as I know (and read), it was amicable. Jeanne Tripplehorn made the decision herself, and she also decided to leave the show without a big goodbye-in season finale-all-about-me-leaving-the-show-episode. Thus, there were no spoilers at all that would have indicated anything.

What Rena said; Ms. Tripplehorn decided to leave the show on her own. No problems with TPTB, so it wasn't a situation previously that occurred with AJ & Paget. She wanted to leave it quietly, so that's why there was no fanfare. Sometimes its refreshing for someone to leave a program without the drama or big spoilerage info. :)

I liked Blake and am sad (and surprised) to see Jeanne Tripplehorn go. I was really warming up to her character this season, and so that ending was completely unexpected for me. I liked that they could have a calm, down-to-earth academic who had a special friendship with Reid. I also found it ironic that this is the second time in the series that Reid has been the one chosen for a main character's farewell.
