Criminal Minds #4: We Take Care Of Our Own!

CBS must want to be known as The Spinoff Network--CSI, NCIS, now they want to try with Criminal Minds--AGAIN!!! Enough already... ABC, FOX, and NBC aren't doing spinoffs, so it boggles the mind that the Eye continues to go back to the same damn shows--don't get me wrong, I like some of the spinoffs, but this is turing into overkill at this point. We're drowning in a sea of un-creativity now. Sad. :(

Gary Sinise to Headline CBS' Upcoming Criminal Minds Spinoff

One of CBS’ new Criminal Minds will be a very familiar face.

TVLine has learned that Gary Sinise, who for nine seasons led CBS’ CSI: NY as Detective Mac Taylor, has been cast on the planted Criminal Minds spinoff.

Specifically, Sinise will play Jack Garrett, a 20-year veteran of the FBI who heads up an elite BAU team that handles cases involving Americans abroad.

The potential spinoff, penned by Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer, will be filmed in February as an episode of the original series to air this spring.

Since wrapping his CSI: NY run, Sinise has spent the past year-and-a-half devoting his time to his Gary Sinise Foundation’s humanitarian work.

I was just coming back over here to post that, blackflag. ;) I don't know how I feel about this news. Happy that'll he'll be back on TV, but I don't know about this particular show. I'm conflicted!

I have to admit, I do miss seeing him on TV but wonder how the writing will be on this show.

EDIT: I think as long as it isn't the CSI: intelligence one, I'm glad.

Wow, that surprised me! I'm not sure why, though. It'll be nice to have Gary back on my TV screen. :)
