According to Anthony Zuiker, the expansion of the CSI franchise has reached an end with CSI: New York.

In a recent interview, the executive producer told the radio station WZLX 100.7 FM in Boston that three CSI shows are enough, ending the speculation about a possible third spin-off. When asked where a fourth CSI might have taken place, however, Zuiker discarded his hometown Chicago, claiming the city is too similar to New York. In a previous interview, Zuiker announced the city of New Orleans was one of the strongest contenders for a fourth CSI (report).

Zuiker has also announced that the CSI: Miami board game will reach stores in three weeks. The original CSI board game, along with an extension pack, is available for purchase in different retail stores.

In addition to CSI, the executive producer is also working on a screenplay about the famous basketball team, the Harlem Globetrotters. A release date for the movie, which is in collaboration with Columbia Pictures, hasn't been announced.
