CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's third season will end with two startling revelations, according to creator Anthony Zuiker.

The season finale, entitled "Inside The Box", will see "two gargantuan secrets revealed — one to a character, one to the audience about one of the characters", Zuiker told Carol Cling at the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Zuiker, who wrote the finale with Carol Mendelsohn, said the episode will centre around a bank robbery with a difference. Something will be "taken from a bank — but not money," the executive producer said.

This will be the second year in a row CSI's season ender has featured a major character revelation. Last year's "The Hunger Artist" dropped the bombshell that Grissom was slowly going deaf; it is not known whether "Inside The Box's" secret will also revolve around the lead CSI's hearing loss.

Location scenes for "Inside The Box" are currently slated to be shot in Las Vegas starting April 28. The episode will likely go to air on CBS in mid-May.
