what do you think makes all the characters from csi who they are
to start i think Grissom is determind he never gives up on a case until the person responsible is caught
 
Nick - Always wants to bring justice to the victim and their families. He's concerned with how the victims families will perceive the investigation, and always tries to comfort them.
 
Horatio-This seriously intense empathy for the victim and the family of the victim. He's determined to understand everything about the person, not just the case. It's kind of creepy sometimes...
