Forensic science is a fantastic subject to talk about. But everyone has their own personal favorite topic in forensics. What is yourS? and why?

I am going to uni to study forensics in September, so I am yet to find my forte. Although, I find the fact that everyone has different fingerprints absolutely fascinating, so hopefully I will be good at that!
Also, DNA, but really complicated, not sure I would be good at it, but I will see, and toxicology, and anthropology, ooh and bomb/fire analysis.
Yeah, that's kinda it. I will come back in here and tell you when I have started the degree, ;)

yeah, good luck with that, I wish you all the best.
I like all fields of forensic science really, but I do like stuff to do with trace and fingerprints...

I hope that you guys do good and have fun.
I'd have to say that my favorite branch of forensic science would be the DNA.

I enjoy the theoretical aspect of genetics, but I much more prefer the chemistry behind firearms and explosives. That's what I hope to specialise in. THe great thing in England, is that, seeing as forensics arent so developped, you do a bit of everything.

I'm attracted to the body areas, pathology and anthropology...probably comes from watching too much Bones and Dr G but it's interesting. *wonders if her library coworkers think she's strange sitting around reading anthro or pathology books while eating lunch...lol*

My prefered areas are: Ballistics (My dad owns a couple of rifles, go figure ), Anthropology and Pathology.

DNA would be an interesting field to work in though, I am pretty sure I could handle it, but it just isn't my "Thing"

But I still read up on almost every area of Forensics, I have multiple books, the one I am reading right at this moment (while typing :p) is one on trace and element analasys. :D

Oh, My......I have gone OT, I think :p Those are also the reason I got drawn to it :) I've always had a love for science (originally vetinary) but since I was seven my likes and dislikes have changed alot

Well, it is technically called ricocheting.....no I can't tell you exactly how fast it would be, sorry :(

(PS....not to sound snappy or snything, but the lack of smileys in your message leads me to beleive you're having a bad day?)

*blushes* in some way, my icon displays how I want to look. :p But I have been told I am a cross between: Temperance Brennan from Bones, Calleigh from MIAMI and Jennifer Anniston. I dont know where the last one came from, but it was what someone told me :p
