Way, way behind! CSI Miami

For lots of different reasons, but mainly because it clashed with my dance class, I missed the premiere season of CSI Miami in the UK. I've been catching up with repeats recently but I've obviously missed something. What, exactly, did the delicious Mr Wolfe do to incur such wrath that he had to leave the department and become a crime tv reporter?

I apologise if this isn't of the usual standard of thread but I don't know who else to ask! Cheers in advance x

Hi teech.

You can pretty much read through what happened from the synopsis of 'Burned', written by our very own Kristine Huntley (reviewer for TalkCSI).

But basically, Ryan owed money to a man named Michael Lipton (a person of interest during an investigation) who attemped to blackmail Ryan into letting him go, but he didn't fall for it. However, later on in the episode, Yelina was asked to investigate Lipton and found out that he's a bookie. With that, she gave Horatio photos of Ryan giving money to Mr. Lipton which caused Stetler to quickly intervene and demand Ryan's badge and gun--firing him.
