US Residents: Let your voices be heard

Want to tell your senators to do something about our financial crisis, the state of our health care system and unsafe foods?

Read this, I got this from Consumers Union that prints Consumer Reports.

I just told my lawmakers to turn their attention to real
accountability for the financial sector, as well as other industries
where consumer protections have been a low priority in recent years.
Now that we've bailed them out, we need real reform to ensure that
banks treat ordinary Americans with respect and fairness. The
same failures that created a financial meltdown also brought us toxic
toys, unsafe foods, and health care we can't afford to use. We must
change our approach. I hope you will help! Use this quick link to take action.

Well, I did get response from one of our state's senators, Senator Barack Obama.

Now it probably was a general email response, but who knows.

In any case, I still encourage to go and fill out the form. I think it's disgusting that all these financial companies are not held accountable. I mean I have a home that isn't increasing in value because of the mortgage situation.

And it also makes me sick that all these CEOs get millions of dollars in salary and bonuses, while their companies are laying off people and/or going out of business. But do they take a paycut? To try to keep their employees on the payroll? Nope!

And this bailout, who will probably end up being the ones to pay for all of this. Yup, us. The middle class and the poor, because the rich get all the breaks! :scream:
