CSI Files
Captain
Day breaks over the Florida Everglades. Controlled fires burn to clear off dead matter. But there's more than just dead plantlife in the Everglades on this morning in the upcoming CSI: Miami episode, "Slash & Burn."
CSI Files sources recently revealed details about the sixteenth episode of CSI: Miami's sophomore season. Delko and Alexx arrive on the scene to examine the body of Wade Hinkle, a hunter who died from a gunshot wound. The Ranger who greets them, Sarah McLarty, shows them to the body. But soon a more pressing matter takes her away.
The remains of another fire are discovered, this one not set by the Rangers. Horatio brings Speedle and Detective Tripp to investigate this other fire. Along with McLarty, they trace the fire to its origin, where they discover a charred motorcycle. There are car tracks next to it, indicating someone left the crime scene in a hurry. But it turns out to be more than arson when the body of Rafael Hortez is discovered, his neck broken.
Just as the boy is discovered, a disoriented man wanders into view, blood on his sleeve. His name is Josh Keating, and he tells them he was camping and hunting with a friend. When asked about the blood on his sleeve, he tells them it was from a woman he found. Horatio and Delko track down the body of Angelina Martinez, who has knife slashes and burn marks all over her body.
Horatio questions Josh Keating, and quickly realizes he's not responsible for Angelina's murder. But Horatio quickly realizes Josh's missing friend is the dead hunter discovered earlier. Horatio has him lead off to a squad car, certain that Josh is hiding something.
Horatio gets a lead in the murders of Angelina and Rafael, but when he tracks down a pair of suspects, a major surprise awaits him...
Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour.
