HI everyone,i just love the narnia series and i hav just watched the latest movie from narnia:prince caspian.i was wondering whether anyone else is a fan of the movie or the book series too.please reply.

mods:i am not sure if i can post this so if i can't please remove this thread.

The thread is fine but I think it belongs in General TV and Media so I will move it there :)

I haven't seen the movie but i want to. It looks very good.I have heard it is good too. I saw the first one and I thought it was excellent. I read half of the books. Sfter I read this book. I stopped because Susan and Peter leave Narnia and they can't come back. As they are my favorite characters I didn't want to finish the series if they weren't going to be in it.

but susan and peter do come back in the last book!i have read all of the books except the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

The movie's already been released? But only in America, right? Anyway, I loved Prince Caspian but my favourite book is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Can't wait to see the movie though, it sure will be awesome.

actually the movie was released worldwide on 8th of june 2008(not so sure about the release date but it was released worldwide).I have seen it already and btw i am from malaysia.where are you from?anyway who is your favorite character?

Wait, when do Susan and Peter come back because i thought they were done for. Is it at the very end of the last book, how do they come back?

My favorite character is Susan, she is awesome but I like Peter too.

They come back in the last book in the series which is called The Last Battle. It is around the middle in The Last Battle .They are magically transported back to narnia(all four of them).Where are you from?

Hm, my favourite characters? Well, it's been a while since I read the books or saw the movies but I think it's Lucy (she's the youngest, right?)

I'm from Germany, and I've just checked the local cinemas and the movies not released here, yet. Well, hope I'll be able to watch it soon.

When did you become interested in Narnia? I remembered watching the TV series when I was a child (well, I just remembered snow and a lion) when the first movie was released. That's when I started to read the books. I have only read the first four books. I can't bring myself to read more. I have the feeling, they're gonna be tragic and that's what I really like to avoid.

I am from southern California. I am glad that they come back. I might consider reading the rest of the series now. We were going to watch Narnia the other day but we decided to wait until it went to the $2 theater.

I am so sorry that i took so long to reply..it just that i was buzy these past few days anyways:

Well you don't hav to worry cuz the last three are not that tragic<trust me ,i hav read all of the book already, well except for the last book cuz it is a bit sad.>Anyway i became interested in Narnia after i watched the movie The chronicles of Narnia :The lion, the witch and the wardrobe in the cinema. It was only after i watched the movie that i begin to read all of the book in the series from my local library.Well i have never seen the series that you talked about cuz i think i wasn't born yet(i am 18 btw..how old are you),but i have read that there was a series based on the book that was created around in the 80's.

Yeah it's a great idea to finish reading all the books in the series.Oh and i am from malaysia and my favorite character is lucy.

I saw Prince Caspian the other day with my cousins and a couple of mates. I am not a big Narnia fan, haven't read the books, but I saw the last movie and thought meh. But I went to this one cos everyone else wanted to go so Why not.
Anyway, from a non-Narnia fan, I really enjoyed this movie!!! Just everything about it was enjoyable. Although it was a bit long but apart from that it was really good! And the actor who played Prince Caspian was pretty good eye candy as well

I saw this movie twice although I actually preferred the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Tilda is absolutely fantastic as the Witch so I'm really glad she reprised her role in Prince Caspian. For those who have read the book, is her character included in Prince Caspian? I only read the Magician's Nephew and the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe before but if I remember correctly, the Witch was killed in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, right?

I actually wish they'll film the Magician's Nephew. It's my favourite book. :bolian: I think it has a very interesting plot and it makes a great prequel.

And I must add, the Pevensie children are growing up to be really gorgeous teens, arent they?

In the book she comes back like she did in the film as a spirit of some form. Tilda was amazing as her.

I saw Prince Caspian about a week ago and loved it! Everytime Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) was on screen my eyes wouldn't leave him! Lol! What I didn't like about the film was the sub-plot of Caspian and Susan's romance cause that is definately not in the book! I didn't mind it, is it just didn't stay very true to the book.

I haven't read the last book since I was younger and if my memory serves me correctly only Peter, Edmund and Lucy get to go back to Narnia as Susan has forgotten all about it and the others hadn't. I dunno I'll have to read the series again!

IIRC, in the book, when Peter and Caspian meet for the first time, it's when Nikabrik, the Hag, and a Werewolf are trying to persuade Caspian to use old magic, and they're in the middle of summoning the White Witch when Trumpkin and Peter show up at Aslan's How.
There's a lot that's different from the book, but I think they did a good job on changing it, because the book as it stood wouldn't have made as good a film.
