I must say I think it's a very good idea to combine the two, it makes perfect sense to me. :)

Also, as I have a little bit of Irish in me (my Nan was Irish) I feel right at home. And there's bound to be Guinness in this thread, so it's all good.

    I have a question?
Anyone go to Nottingham Trent uni?
    I'm going in September ;)
oh and anyone live in the midlands?
Does anyone else, when they are on the internet, feel like they are talking to people ages away? I was just wondering if people actually live near to me.

I'm a bit Irish too, two of my great-grandparents were Irish. :)

No, I didn't go to Nottingham Trent university, however both my parents did, it's where they first met! That was many years ago though, so not very helpful... All I know is that Nottingham has a ratio of 3 women to every man, or was that just a rumour circulating when I was choosing universities 10 years ago? I'm sure you'll have a great time, I've not heard any bad reports about Nottingham student life.

I'm from Yorkshire so not the Midlands I'm afraid and I went to university in Leeds, actually I technically still do as I am doing a PGCert at the moment there. Leeds is a great university city, I loved it when I was there. :)

On a different note, it is Eurovision 'Making your Mind Up' on Saturday. What do you think our chances of having a decent Eurovision entry will be this year? Not very likely would be my guess. Yes, I am very sad but I do love the cheesiness of Eurovision.

^^I'm still disappointed that Morrissey isn't going to give it a go.

I'm sure dispite how good an entry we produce, because of tactical voting of the Eastern Bloc countries we won't fair well.

Well we won despite of it :p

They actually said last year that it doesn't go like that... someone had done some math... or something. I mean... we usually get points from...Sweden and perhas from Estonia and Norway :p But last spring only three didn't give points to us :D

It's a choice between: Justin Hawkins, Liz McClarnon, Big Brovaz, Brian Harvey and I think there are some others too. It starts at 7pm tomorrow night.

I won't be watching or voting, but I'm sure we can trust the British public to choose the worst possible song. My guess would be Justin Hawkins. I'm not sure it can be worse than Daz last year, I didn't see the other choices last year but I cannot see how Daz could possibly have been the best. :)

    Oh god no, were doomed.

We're so lame at Eurovision. One day we'll surprise everyone and win.

I was all for Morrissey representing us. Oh well.

Happy Saint Patrick's day everbody! :D

The contestants for MYMU are: Liz Maclarnon, Justin Hawkins & Beverlei Brown, Brian Harvey, Scooch, Big Brovaz and Cyndi (<--no I haven't spelt her wrong ).

The "making your mind up" programme starts at 7:30pm on BBC2 (I think).

My favourites to win are either Big Brovaz or Hawkins & Brown.
